Chapter 983: Separation
A few days later.
Nathan had settled all the matters he could think of for the next three months. The matter of the engagent had been arranged completely.
The Ashton family had sent their dowry, while the Pope still needed ti. Because this was unprecedented in the Holy Kingdom, the Pope chose to open his own coffer and use the little thing he had for Sera, whom he thought was his daughter.

The ones coming were not just Selena, Sera, and Flora. Even Alavenya, Noelle, Iris, and Vivian ca to see him off.
Selena just hugged him tight while closing her eyes. “Don’t worry about everyone here. You should just be careful out there and find that we will manage to surpass you when you’re back a few months later. “Ahahaha.” Nathan chuckled, feeling relieved. If Selena were here, everything would be alright. “Yeah. I’ll leave all the matters about the group in your hand, Selena.”

Once Selena released him, Nathan moved to Sera and took out a piece of paper. “Take this.”
“What is this?” Sera tilted her head in confusion and opened the piece of paper.
It contained a simple piece of information.
Janus. The God of Duality. He is associated with the beginnings, transitions, and endings. He is often depicted with two faces, one looking forward and the other backward, symbolizing his ability to see both the past and the future.
He is linked tightly with the concept of duality: past and future, inside and outside, life and death, war and peace, and the beginning and the end.
Sera was surprised. This was the first ti she heard about this kind of being. She might be the follower of the light, but this might be a path that was most suitable for her.
There was no need to choose one… She didn’t have to choose sides. She should just embody both, acting as a guardian of balance.
This might be the answer she was looking for.
She knew what Nathan ant by giving this information. She hugged Nathan with excitent. “Thank you.”
“See you in a few months.”
“Yes. See you in a few months.”
Nathan then turned to Flora.
“Sorry I couldn’t accompany you in the past few days.” Flora looked down, feeling a bit guilty.
Nathan was the one pulling her into his embrace this ti. “I should be the one who apologizes. Because of my desire, I can’t accompany you, accompany everyone all the ti. However, I will return, I promise. Don’t think about your previous life as royalty anymore. You are free to make your choice now.”
“Mhmm…” Flora smiled. “Return. Don’t make us a widow this young.”
Nathan chuckled before nodding his head. He then shifted his gaze to Noelle. “I hope you make your own choice, not influenced by anyone else. You have walked in your own path. No one knows what you need better than yourself.”
Noelle, a bit hesitant, nodded her head. She had been influenced by her grandfather to marry Nathan. The guilt had forced her to make a decision about her familiar.
It was ti for her to stand for herself because, as Nathan said, she was forging her own path. No one knew it better than she did.
“I will make sure to show you that by the ti you return.”
“I’m looking forward to it.” Nathan nodded in satisfaction.
Last but not least, Alavenya. But before he could say anything, Alavenya grabbed his hand and shook it as though they were making a deal.
“I don’t like being sentintal. Do you know what my father once said to my mother?”
“No.”
“We’ll settle this once you return… We’ll have a match. If you lose, you’ll have to marry .”
“!!!” Nathan and the others were dumbfounded by Alavenya’s declaration.
“Hoh? Then, if I win?”
“I will marry you.” Alavenya grinned.
“Well, this makes even more eager to return ho. I will definitely return here. I don’t want to win that easily.” Nathan winked playfully.
“We’ll see.” Alavenya’s smile beca bigger instead of getting angry with that cheeky provocation. She was long past the stage where she would get angry about everything, but she still had the fla in her heart.
Nathan moved to the side and patted Iris’ shoulder. “Make sure you study hard.”
She was supposed to enroll in the Frexia Academy in less than 2 months. As the youngest student, a lot of expectation was placed on her shoulders.
Iris bowed politely. “Yes. I will make sure I don’t bring sha to your na, Master.”
“Good. I believe you can do just fine.” Nathan finally turned to the last person, his teacher, Vivian.
Both of them stared at each other for a few seconds before hugging. There was no need for words.
Vivian knew Nathan would be fine because her senior was with him. Although it wasn’t every day, Evelyn would still help him if he were in grave danger. That was why there was no worry in her heart.
This was a necessary step he had to take. And just like how he had done it until now, he carefully prepared everything and planned every step.
This ti was similar. Even if he faced danger, he would solve it with his wisdom and strength.
He had grown attached to this world. It was a sha that he couldn’t celebrate the first-year anniversary of his arrival in this world with everyone else, but this was his ho… his new ho.
To protect this new ho, he had to complete this journey.
With a big smile on his face, he waved his hand while walking away. “This is not a goodbye. I will see you again soon.”
