Chapter 984: Alien in Human Clothing
“Hahahaha! Really? Your wife is so good to you. My wife keeps demanding this and that whenever I go ho.” A guard laughed.
“I know, right? Maybe I saved a village in my previous life.” Another guard chuckled.
“I just want her not to say anything, especially when we’re patrolling during the night.” The guard sighed.
“Well, it happens.” The other guard shrugged. “Maybe she will understand you one day.”
“Or I will just get a new wife.” The guard smirked.
“Speaking of a new wife…” The other guard furrowed his eyebrows. “Hmm. There’s a woman hanging around during the night?”
“No way. It’s past midnight already.”
“But look…” He pointed forward.
When the guard followed the direction he pointed at, he saw a woman’s figure in the distance. They could only see her back.
Her dress was pretty neat: a white shirt, a leather corset, and a skirt. Although she looked like a commoner, she was pretty well off from her clothes alone.
However, sothing was weird. Instead of walking around in this dark street, the woman simply stood still.
“Hmm.” The guard squinted his eyes. “What is she doing? This is already too late for drinking. Besides… Do you notice sothing weird?”
“Weird?”
“Yeah. Look at her clothes.”
“What’s wrong with that? She dressed neatly.”
“Are your eyes just a decoration? I’m talking about the fact she doesn’t wear anything to warm her up. For soone dressed that neat, she should have enough money to get a mantle.”
“Ah! You’re right. Maybe she’s a summoner? I heard summoners can use their power to stay warm.”
“Yeah, but why would soone like that be standing there without doing anything?”

Both guards looked at each other. They wondered if they should et this person to ask what was going on or just let the summoner take care of them.
After a few seconds, they nodded in agreent. Both of them approached the woman carefully.
“Hello, Miss! May we know what you’re doing here?”
“Yes. If you need sothing from us, you can tell us.”
Since they were the ones doing the patrol, it was their job to ensure everything was safe.
The woman responded to their voice and turned around, only to give them the scare of their lives.
“W-Wha—!”
“Aaaahhhhh!”
Both guards scread in panic. The woman’s face was distorted. Her pupils were on both corners, staring in different directions. A few tentacles erged from her mouth and nose.
Her chest looked like it had been ripped apart and was replaced by an alien mouth.
The tentacles from her mouth extended themselves and captured the first guard.
“Ahhhh! What’s going on? Help !”
The other guard didn’t know what to do. He could help him, but the one in front of them was an alien, so there was no way he could win. However, how could the alien have a human appearance?
“NOOO! I don’t want to die!” The other guard ended up screaming while trying to run away.
anwhile, the alien’s tentacles entered his mouth and nose, so even erging from his ears. The guard’s eyes rolled back as his body was convulsing uncontrollably for a few seconds before his body stopped moving entirely.
Once the guard died, the alien retracted the tentacles, her head shifting toward the other guard as if it was looking at him even though the pupils went other ways.
With a loud thud, the guard fell to the ground, his armor causing clicking sounds that echoed throughout the night.
The woman then chased after the guard.
“Nooo! I don’t want to die.” He scread while looking back, his tears streaming down. But the woman didn’t care.
Due to the alien inside her, her speed was much higher than that of the guard. She caught up to him in just three seconds before slamming him to the ground.
“Gah!” The guard groaned in pain, but his body was shaking. He was scared. The alien had captured him. He tried to struggle, but he couldn’t shake off the woman.
“Nooo! Help !”
There was no response. So buildings around the area seed to brighten as so people woke up from all the screaming and ruckuses, but there didn’t seem to be any help.
The guard panicked and ultimately resigned himself as the tentacles were moving toward his face.
It was at this mont that a woman suddenly appeared and slashed the alien.
As if noticing the incoming attack, the alien leaped into the air and landed far away from the woman.
“What’s going on? What is that monster? Alien?” The woman widened her eyes in shock.
The guard was too scared to talk, but he recognized the woman’s clothes. It was the blue uniform affiliated directly with the governnt.
She didn’t wear any coat to keep her warm.
Noticing that the guard was useless, the woman charged forward. The alien seed to have recognized her ability and did the sa.
The woman swung her sword while the alien punched her.
Clang!
Surprisingly, the mont the sword clashed with the fist, it didn’t slash through the skin. Instead, it felt like she was hitting a stone.
“Kh… What is this toughness?” She gritted her teeth and made a few more swings.
However, the alien was able to keep up with her movent, forcing the woman to get even more serious.
“Co out!” She shouted as an ogre and a werewolf appeared on her side. The ogre cut the alien with his axe while the werewolf tried to rip it apart, but before their attacks reached the alien, the latter ducked and avoided them.
After that, the alien kicked the werewolf. Before the ogre could get the sa hit, the woman slashed the alien, forcing it to take another leap back to avoid it.
“Tsk. This alien… Its strength is similar to that of a juvenile class alien.” She clicked her tongue. She soon panicked the mont the alien turned around. “Not good. It’s going to escape. We can’t let it escape!”
The werewolf was still recovering, so only the ogre could chase after the alien, but the latter had leaped into the air.
Before the ogre could follow, a shadow appeared from the sky and grabbed the alien’s head with his huge hand and dragged the alien down to the ground.
Bam!
“!!!” The woman widened her eyes in surprise. “Captain!”
“What’s actually going on?”
