But at that mont, billowing smoke started pouring in shalessly through the cracks of the door.
Scalding heat was gradually approaching!
"Fire! Fire!" Mang-ge scrambled back, half crawling and half stumbling.
Ou Jue instinctively protected Xiyan behind him, his gaze darkening. "What’s going on?"
"Young Master Ou, Miss Xia, co with quickly! The entire row of old buildings on this street is on fire! The cause is unknown, but the flas are spreading rapidly. There’s a chemical factory nearby—there’s a risk it could explode at any ti. No ti to explain, hurry up!"
Just as he finished speaking, the distant sound of boom, boom began to roar.
Glass shattered everywhere.
For the first ti, Xiyan experienced such a scene. She was completely frozen, her eyes reflecting the raging flas that were rapidly engulfing the surroundings.

Xiyan snapped back to reality, completely forgetting about the fight they were having. She nervously tried to argue, "Why are you doing this? Save so for yourself!"
In such a dire situation, Ou Jue instantly reverted to his commanding presence—his gaze icy, his tone oppressive. "Shut up! I’m a man—I don’t need this. You keep it on yourself and hold it tightly. Don’t worry about !"
With that, he grabbed Xiyan’s other wrist and dashed out with her, following Mang-ge.
The flas surged higher and higher, accompanied by intermittent explosions. All around them, glass shattered, sending sparks flying and fueling even greater bursts of fire.
It’s so, so terrifying...
They had never been to this old building before, which spanned multiple floors.
The layout was complex, and they had to rely entirely on Mang-ge’s directions to navigate past the flas and head toward the correct escape route.
The black smoke grew thicker and thicker, choking Xiyan to the point that she began coughing uncontrollably. Her breathing grew rapid and shallow. "Cough, cough, cough..."
