Capítulo 1451: Chapter 1451: Book of Life and Death, Dragon Blood Sword!

Ye Xuan sneered, “Those bastards indeed.”

Earlier, when foreign forces ca to attack and he learned there was a new power behind them, Ye Xuan imdiately dispatched Lang Feng to investigate, which led to the discovery of Satan’s Legion.

This was an utterly nefarious force, specializing in recruiting the most heinous individuals from around the world, growing rapidly in recent years.

Ye Xuan knew this force was peculiar and instructed Ye Lang to be vigilant.

He didn’t expect things to escalate so quickly.

“The re Satan’s Legion, even though they’ve grown rapidly over the years and launched a surprise attack, shouldn’t have driven Purgatory to such an extent.”

Ye Xuan frowned, “Could there be other forces involved?”

“There are,”

Burton said, “But those forces consist of minor troops that even combined wouldn’t withstand a fight against ten Divine Weapons from Purgatory.”

Ye Xuan squinted, sensing sothing amiss.

He understood Purgatory’s strength all too well. Before he left, it was undoubtedly the top legion in the world. To be struck to such an extent in just a few months was clearly unreasonable.

Satan’s Legion surely had more formidable backing. Turning his gaze, Ye Xuan asked again, “What about casualties?”

Burton said, “The exact situation of the Divine Weapons who retreated into the Harado Mountains is unknown, but during the battle at Dragon Blood Castle that day, two Divine Weapons from Purgatory were already sacrificed.”

Ye Xuan’s heart skipped a beat.

But he knew casualties were common on the battlefield.

Even for Purgatory.

So he remained calm and continued asking, “Which two?”

“The Blaze brothers,”

Burton sighed, “Their bodies are still at Dragon Blood Castle, but from the battlefield remnants, it’s evident that even in death, the two managed to kill hundreds of enemies. Even now, the weapons in their hands can’t be taken away.”

This was Purgatory’s ferocity. In battle, even if their hearts shattered, they would use their last seven seconds of consciousness to exert every ounce of strength, trying to kill as many enemies as possible.

If what they held were guns, even death wouldn’t stop the bullets from being frantically fired until the last was spent.

“Phew!”

Ye Xuan looked up at the majestic castle on the isolated island. The castle had turned from a past serene blue to a vibrant red.

This was his ho.

And now, this ho was stained with his brothers’ blood.

The sea breeze cried, and the sea waves roared.

Noisy yet eerily silent.

Ye Xuan gazed at the familiar yet foreign grand castle, his black eyes brimming with murderous intent, as if suddenly dropping the island’s temperature by several degrees.

Burton stood beside him, not daring to breathe.

It wasn’t fear, but reverence!

Having been down and out on Spa Island, he particularly understood the terror of this young man before him. He was a god, a true god!

He could accomplish what no human could and even what none dared to imagine!

Burton knew Black Emperor was enraged.

This fury would be drenched in blood!

In the deathly silence, Burton steeled himself to speak, “Black Emperor, do you have a plan?”

“Life and death an little!” Ye Xuan grinned, “If unhappy, then fight!”

The air filled with boldness!

Burton was taken aback by Ye Xuan’s imposing aura at that mont.

Without hesitation, Ye Xuan lifted his foot and headed towards Dragon Blood Castle.

Burton snapped out of it and hurriedly followed, “What is Black Emperor going to do?”

“To see my fallen brothers,” Ye Xuan said, “and to pick up sothing that’s been sealed away.”

“I’ll guide you!” Burton promptly led the way.

Following Burton’s lead, Ye Xuan soon found the corpses of the Dorante brothers, and as Burton said, their hands still gripped their weapons tightly.

Their eyes were wide open, with frozen pupils filled with unwillingness and rage.

They were still angered by not having killed enough enemies.

Burton sighed again, “They were tough n, warriors!”

Ye Xuan closed his eyes, took a deep breath, remained silent, and then opened his eyes, bending down to gently brush over their wide-open eyes.

Their eyes closed, faces still twisted in anger.

“When I founded Purgatory, I promised that if anyone hard you, I’d kill them. If a nation dared threaten you, I’d destroy that nation!”

Ye Xuan looked at them and said, “Farewell, my brothers!”

Ye Xuan bowed to the Dorante brothers.

After rising, Ye Xuan proceeded to the highest level of Dragon Blood Castle.

The entire Dragon Blood Castle, save for this part, was devoid of corpses or bloodstains because this was Ye Xuan’s exclusive domain. In this world, only the Black Emperor had the right to be here.

On the floor below, bodies piled like mountains.

Ye Xuan understood that the Purgatory brats must have held that line for a long ti, rely to prevent the enemy from stepping foot here, even if it ant no one was present, even if entering ant just taking a glance and leaving.

Knowing Purgatory’s restrictions, Burton didn’t follow Ye Xuan upstairs.

Once there, Ye Xuan looked out, everything still familiar, just as it was when he left.

He walked effortlessly to the deepest part, retrieving a two-ter-long red wooden box.

He opened the box.

Clang!

A sharp glint flashed by.

Inside the box lay a long sword.

The sword was pitch-black, double-edged, snow-white, with a lifelike enraged dragon seemingly alive on the blade.

Ye Xuan gently caressed the blade, his blood stirred, and it felt all too familiar.

This was Ye Xuan’s weapon, unearthed years ago from a treasure, weighing over sixty pounds, five feet long, and indestructible.

He hadn’t used this sword for a long ti…

Underneath the long sword lay a small yellowing notebook.

Ye Xuan took the Dragon Blood Sword and picked up the notebook.

“Book of Life and Death…”

Ye Xuan had a bad habit before, of writing down the nas of enemies in this notebook each ti he killed one.

After leaving, he thought he’d never need it again, yet now, he had to use pen and paper once more.

Ye Xuan ca down from the top floor, carrying the Dragon Blood Sword and holding the Book of Life and Death.

Burton was about to speak.

Ye Xuan thrust the Book of Life and Death towards him and said coolly, “Write down the nas of the enemy leaders you know in this notebook.”

Burton was puzzled but dared not say much and quickly complied.

Burton quickly completed the task, knowing only a few enemy leaders’ nas.

Ye Xuan glanced at the Book of Life and Death, then descended further.

Burton followed, “Black Emperor, where are you going?”

Ye Xuan spoke calmly, “To find my brothers.”

Burton asked, “Just you?”

Ye Xuan gave no answer.

Burton pressed on, “Black Emperor, the enemy is too cunning and strong. Though the Divine Weapons of Purgatory are still in danger, wisdom suggests finding more help first!”

Ye Xuan still did not respond, resolutely moving forward.
