"A promise that in the future, you will help with anything I ask as long as it doesn't endanger your life.
Promise that, and I will tell you everything there is to know about the Temple of Ti."
"Now that's sothing that can be arranged.
You are finally learning how to make a deal with the Devil."
The Devil grinned.
"Good."
Dainar nodded as well.
"Then let's begin.
Temple of Ti, tell everything you know."
"Ask what you want."
"That wasn't the deal."
Nux narrowed his eyes.
"I wouldn't know where to begin. I do not know what you know and what you do not. Ask, and I will begin from there."
Nux nodded in understanding. From what he knew about Dainar, it was very much possible that he was playing so tricks here, but Nux didn't care. As long as he got what he wanted, what Dainar did didn't matter.
The deal was made, so Nux began,
"What is the Temple of Ti?"
He asked the most basic question. Dainar stared at him for a mont and then gave an answer.
"Ti is a complicated power. In all of the Universe, the number of beings who have power over ti is already fewer than normal, but even those who have power related to ti do not have a complete understanding of it.
So can control the speed of ti, so can sense the flow of ti, so can rewind ti, so can manipulate the past and the future, so are able to break the flow of ti, and finally, so can use ti to manipulate Ti Causality.
None of these beings, however, can do every single one of these things at the sa ti.
The Law of Ti has always been incomplete."
"Isn't that the case with all the Laws?"
Nux questioned.
After all, even the Law of Death back in Umbrasol was always incomplete. Only he was able to complete it.
"It is."
Dainar nodded at his words.
"But the power of ti is an exception. It is an extrely useful Law. Probably the strongest of all."
Nux didn't deny those words.
He could tell how having control over ti would make one invincible. Take the Seer, for example. Even the Supre Worlds, the strongest worlds in the Universe, who have absolute dominion over the Universe, cannot harm her.
The woman could do literally whatever she wanted, go wherever she wanted, and no one in this Universe, not even him, could sense her.
Heck, the woman even fooled Azriel.
Azriel ntioned that recording bit she pulled off. If sothing like that happened with Nux, he would have lost his mind.
He honestly pitied his father-in-law that day. To reveal all his power to capture soone, only to realize you were outdone—it was indeed frustrating.
"The Temple of Ti is an ancient ground that beings from all over the Universe visit in order to form a Law of Ti."
While Nux was thinking all this, Dainar revealed, and Nux raised his eyebrow.
"Then why do I not know about such an important place?"
He couldn't help but frown.
After all, Nux wasn't so world bumpkin who knew next to nothing about the Universe. He was probably one of the most knowledgeable beings in the entire Universe.
Even if he didn't know everything, he knew about most things. After all, he had the mory of one High-Level World and more than a few Middle, Low, and Lowest-Level Worlds. He highly doubted there were many people who had the sa amount of information as him.
"It is said that if one clears all the trials of the Tower of Ti, he will comprehend the Complete Law of Ti."
Dainar answered.
It was a strange answer, sothing that made Nux frown. However, what attracted his attention were the words Dainar used.
"It is said…?"
Nux narrowed his eyes.
"No one has ever managed to clear all the trials."
Dainar revealed, and Nux's frown deepened.
"This is also the reason you probably do not know about the Temple of Ti. It was well-known quite a long ti ago. Many people tried their luck and took the trials, but they only returned with a weak law that destroyed their future.
It is said that even the Supre World of Eternity once took over the place for five hundred thousand years, trying to study its structure and see if it was even possible to learn the Complete Law of Ti. They sent countless Protectors to try and form a strong Law, but they all returned with Laws much weaker than they would have normally comprehended. Eventually, even the Supre World of Eternity gave up and considered the Temple to be a waste of ti and potential.
They abandoned the Temple alone. However, since even the world with the greatest knowledge abandoned the place, the Temple continued to wither away. Of course, in their thirst for power, many still tried their luck, but every single being, without any exception, returned without success.
Millions of years later, beings all over the Universe finally started believing the World of Eternity's words. The Temple was abandoned by everyone, and it lost its popularity.
Of course, this was millions, if not billions, of years ago, so most worlds, even the High-Level Worlds, do not know about the Temple now. They hear the rumours and treat it like so myth, just like we once did."
"Then… what about now?"
Nux questioned.
"Why do you know about all this now?"
"We looked into it."
"What?"
Nux tilted his head.
"One of Tenebris's closest allies was infatuated by the power of ti. When our worlds heard about this Temple of Ti, while he thought it to be a myth, they were different. Their Progenitor wanted to know if this place actually existed."
"How did they find out?"
"They went to the most assured source of information."
Nux's expression changed when he heard those words.
"Eternity…"
"Yes, they made a deal with the Supre World of Eternity."
Dainar nodded.
