Nux shouted and in an instant,
BOOOOM
Sharnoth deployed her domain, with all the Supre Party mbers trapped inside it.
The mont Nux realized she had succeeded, he quickly diverted all his focus towards Eternity. He wasn’t a fool, he knew the distance between them and the Eternity was not huge.
Heck, the man traveled that distance in an instant, and if he hadn’t reacted, he would have been captured alive.
What’s even more scary?
This bastard wasn’t even taking this seriously.
From the start to finish, the only emotion Eternity had shown all this while was... amusent and curiosity. Nux knew that in his eyes, he was nothing more than a monkey jumping around, doing its mindless shenanigans.
Nux knew Eternity could travel this distance instantly, so even if they had the Supres under Sharnoth’s domain, the battle wasn’t won.
He was in no position to devour them because Eternity was about to make a move. If he appeared and deployed his domain, his and Sharnoth’s domain would clash, nullifying each other’s effect, freeing the rest of the party.
And Nux, who wanted to avoid that outco, turned towards Eternity, his mind thinking of different ways he and Sharnoth could stop him together, while also trying to predict what other things this monster might do.
But—
As Nux’s eyes finally fell on Eternity,
’Huh...?’
He realized sothing.
The Eternity...
He... he still hadn’t moved.
Nux didn’t understand, he had sensed the Space Laws around them were being altered, making it difficult—almost impossible to use Powers of Space for any normal person. So he understood that the fact that he still managed to teleport together with Sharnoth might have surprised Eternity, making his reaction slower than normal.
Truthfully, this was what Nux was actually hoping.
But even in the best-case scenario in his mind, he didn’t predict the Eternity to not move at all.
He was easily one of the strongest beings Nux had ever encountered, there was no way surprise alone would make him freeze mid-battle.
But...
"You moved."
Eternity comnted, impressed again. Of course, his eyes didn’t look at Nux even now, he was focused on Sharnoth.
"What kind of Space Artifact do you have? I do not sense an Energy of a Relic, does this an it is sothing not created by the Supre World of Eternity?"
He questioned, his curiosity now even stronger than before.
"To think you would have soone capable enough to create an Artifact of that level, quite impressive indeed."
He complinted again, his hollow eyes staring at Sharnoth and for a mont, Nux sensed a flicker of greed in them.
Nux could feel it.
This bastard... he wanted to know...
He wanted to know everything about them.
Nux was wondering why this man froze mid-battle like an amateur, but now... he finally realized it.
This monster... he wasn’t considering this to be a battle from the very beginning.
To him... it was... a show.
A show to entertain himself and now satiate his curiosity, even if he had to sacrifice his subordinates’ lives for it.
Yes, the reason he didn’t move and protect his subordinates all this while wasn’t because he couldn’t react in ti or was frozen in surprise,
It was because he wanted to see what they were going to do.
He wanted to see if they were going to surprise and entertain him again.
He wanted to know the extent of their ability.
And Nux, who realized all that—
"Heh."
He laughed.
The tension from his body began to ease up.
Being underestimated—no, underestimated was a weak word—he wasn’t being underestimated, he was being utterly ignored.
The only one the Eternity had his eyes on was Sharnoth, and her too, was only being seen as a ans of entertainnt.
This feeling...
It made Nux grin.
He couldn’t tell how... grateful he was.
’I love arrogant people.’
He confessed in his heart, staring at Eternity as he began walking towards his subordinates leisurely.
From his movents, it was clear that he was no longer tense, almost as if there was no opponent around him at all.
And he couldn’t be blad for it.
After all, Nux could tell that as long as he showed sothing that ’surprised’ him, he wouldn’t stop him.
And when he looked at the mbers of the Supre Party, whose expressions showed fear as he closed in, he knew he wasn’t wrong.
They had realized it as well.
They were being used as sacrifice.
One more thing that Nux found quite interesting was that the only mbers who showed fear on their faces were the subordinates, the beings the Supre Worlds had recruited. The nine Transcendent Level Supre Borns were different, they stood still, without any change in their expression even in face of their death.
It was almost as if they couldn’t feel this emotion known as fear.
Of course, as interesting as it sounded, for now, Nux did not act on it. He suppressed his sadistic tendencies of wanting to see their entire body reflect the emotion they were incapable of reflecting. After all, he knew what situation he was in.
It wasn’t ti to play around.
Even though he was acting leisurely, his guard was still very much up and almost all his focus was on Eternity, making sure he did not make any surprise move.
And just as he got close to the frozen Supre Party, Eternity reacted.
"Oh?"
It was just a slight tilt of his head.
It looked like he had finally noticed Nux now that he was right in front of his subordinates.
"Is this another trick of yours? Letting your subordinate move?"
He questioned, once again staring at Sharnoth.
And then—
"It is indeed."
Nux spoke up, his grin widening and in an instant, Eternity, who had been ignoring him for a while, finally glanced at him for more than a second.
"You..."
He recognized him.
"You are the man on that projection."
"Took you long enough."
Nux chuckled lightly.
"I expected more from the so-called Supre Borns."
He taunted while he prepared his next move.
But the taunt didn’t work,
"It seems that in my excitent, I overestimated your lot."
Eternity sighed.
Learning that the one who said all those words and challenged the Supre Worlds, even threatening to ’erase their authority,’ was only a Primordial Stage insect, disappointed him.
Sure, he understood that he was just a face and the actual strength behind the Chain Breakers was obviously soone else, but—
The very fact that whoever held the most strength wasn’t even brave enough to step forward, even when they had a way to hide their presence and not get caught, disappointed him even more.
He felt like a fool for actually acting on such empty words, to think he actually ca here himself instead of just sending his subordinates...
He truly was disappointed.
What about the fact that his presence saved his subordinates from dying to an enemy Eternal?
Eternity didn’t care about it either. Sure, he could tell the woman was strong. From her domain, it was clear she had an Absolute Law but...
Even then, any one of his Eternal Level subordinates could have dealt with her using the Relics. He had absolutely no need to co here on his own.
Soon however, he shook his head and cleared his mind—
"It is my mistake."
He admitted.
"I was montarily fooled by your bold words and heightened my expectations.
Whatever, this just pr—"
"Are you sure about it?"
Suddenly, Nux interrupted, and Eternity, who was about to kill him for interrupting his words, widened his eyes in shock.
"!!!"
Nux’s grin widened even further as thick, dark, frighteningly cold black mist surrounded the mbers of the Supre Party, and as if to add a final touch—
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE
THUNDER THUNDER THUNDER
The very Universe reacted.
Seeing the extrely familiar reaction happen right in front of him, Eternity’s already widened eyes widened even further.
"Y-You..."
He stuttered, his reaction stroking Nux’s ego.
He was no longer a ’monkey doing his own shenanigans.’
He was—
"You are the Anomaly!"
Eternity exclaid, his words made Nux’s face distort as he successfully devoured the entire Supre Party right in front of the frozen Eternity.
"Am I now interesting enough for you?"
Nux laughed.
And finally—
When he could no longer sense his subordinates, Eternity ca out of his reverie and—
"Hahahaha!"
He laughed out loud.
Nux also noticed how the Space around them was completely sealed, and no, this ti, it wasn’t just the Space Laws being altered repeatedly, making using Power of Space impossible.
This ti, the Space Laws were removed.
No Space ability, no matter how strong, could now be used here.
Not even Nux could do anything about it.
"Indeed, indeed, you are more than interesting now!
You are the Anomaly!"
Eternity exclaid, unable to control his excitent. To think he would get his hands on the Anomaly that the Infinities were trying to find so desperately.
This trip beca much more worthwhile!
