"Am I now interesting enough for you?"
Nux questioned with a big wide grin on his face and—
"Hahahaha!"
The Eternity laughed out loud.
"Indeed, indeed, you are more than interesting now!
You are the Anomaly!"
He exclaid, sealing the Space around him as he prepared to capture the Anomaly alive.
The Eternity couldn’t help but glee joyfully at this situation. To think that the being who made a ss out of the very Universe, affecting millions of worlds either directly or through the Universe’s Rage, kept even the Infinities guessing about his identity, was rely a... Primordial.
A Primordial who was standing right in front of him.
This changed everything.
Strangely, Eternity’s hollow eyes had begun to shine as different ideas popped into his head. Capturing the Anomaly alive and delivering him to the Infinities to bask in the glory for the rest of his life—yes, it sounded very enticing.
But...
This wasn’t the only enticing idea that ca to his mind.
Again, he was standing in front of the being who challenged the very Universe, sothing even the Infinites who ruled over all couldn’t do, and yet... he was just a Primordial.
What if...
What if that changed?
What if instead of a Primordial, the one who inherited this ridiculous power was an... Eternal?
How different would that be...?
Would it be able to... change the trillions of trillions of years old Power System...?
The thought stirred sothing inside of him.
Yes, he understood that the thought was traitorous. If the Infinites knew what he was thinking, death would be the last thing he would be worried about—it would be a sweet release.
But...
Eternity was now billions of years old. He was one of the oldest Eternals in the Supre World of Eternity, one of the few who had seen the Era of Five Supre Worlds. Most of his initial peers had already ended their existence and entered the reincarnation cycle.
’End’ did not scare him.
Actually, he often found himself thinking about how his end would be—if sothing like that even existed.
After all, even now, even when most of his peers were gone, he still hadn’t ended himself because he simply couldn’t find an end worthy of him.
But today—
It was different.
He now stood at a fork.
A fork where one path led to certain glory, standing below Four and above the rest.
While the other led to Eternal Damnation, where he would be begging for Death at every mont, but also gave him a sliver of an uncertain, probably even impossible change. To not be standing below Four above the rest... but to stand above All.
Of course, any sane being would choose the first path. Standing below Four and above the rest sounded enticing, especially considering that the Four in question rarely bothered to deal with things. He would essentially be ruling everything.
But...
Eternity wasn’t sane.
No being who has lived for billions of years was.
Simple glory wasn’t enticing enough for him. After all, even now, he was above most beings in the entirety of the Universe.
Other than the Four Infinites, he didn’t truly have to bow in front of anyone.
This so-called ’certain glory’ was a sham.
But this ’change’...
It was different.
Yes, the Eternity had already made a decision.
This will be it.
An ’End’ worthy of him.
There was just... one problem.
"You sealed the Space."
Nux comnted as he stared at Eternity with a light, confident smile on his face.
"You sensed it."
Eternity smiled back.
And soon, he realized it as well.
"So it wasn’t her but you,
The one who was using the Power of Space."
Nux just smiled, not saying anything.
He wanted to extend this conversation as long as he could because he needed ti.
It was done. With him devouring the Supre Party, he had finally gathered all Primordial Energies inside his Universe.
However, his Universe still wasn’t complete.
Even though he had ’devoured’ the Supre Party and their Laws, he still hadn’t connected with them. Those Laws were just... floating in his Universe.
He still needed to connect, comprehend, and then streamline them, forming the true, final three Primordial Laws, before including them in his Universe, completing it for good.
And for that, he needed ti.
Honestly, if this was a normal situation, he would have long split the work in his mind, with one side facing the Eternal Level opponent while the other focused on the Laws he had just devoured.
But right now,
He couldn’t divide his focus.
The Eternal he was up against was by no ans normal. If he didn’t give his all, this might be the true end.
And because almost all his focus was on his enemy, the ti he needed to comprehend those Laws and assimilate them was much higher than normal.
Ti he did not think he could buy just by talking, but...
He had no other choice but to try.
The last thing he wanted right now was to face an unpredictable opponent.
Fortunately for him, his opponent wasn’t in a rush either.
"How did you do it? I did not see your Flow of Law, so it ans you did not use your Power. Was it an Artifact? But how can a Primordial use an Artifact of that capability? You shouldn’t have enough energy."
Eternity questioned curiously.
"Aren’t you from the Supre World of Eternity? The so-called ’Knowers of All That Is’? You should know the answer to everything, shouldn’t you?"
Nux teased.
"Actually, let’s make this much more interesting than it currently is.
I will give you three guesses.
If you guess the correct answer, I will tell you one thing about the Universe that you do not know for sure."
He spoke, coming up with the most effective way of buying ti.
As for telling Eternity one thing he did not know about?
Who cared about that?
He would say so random gibberish. If he didn’t know about it, how would he know whether it’s the truth or a lie?
Not to ntion, Nux wouldn’t have to say anything anyway because the Eternity would never guess it right. After all, his very initial assumption was wrong.
He wasn’t using any Artifacts. He had the Complete Law of Absolute Space. His understanding of the Space Law was greater than any being in the Universe. He understood the changes in Space faster than anyone, and with his mind that helps him analyze and calculate that change much faster than any Primordial, or even Transcendent, or most Eternals, teleporting in a field where the Space Laws were altered was child’s play for him.
As for why Eternity didn’t sense any Law Flow?
Well, that was because the Law he was using simply did not belong to the main Universe—there was no Law Flow to begin with.
This was one of the reasons he was considered an Anomaly in the first place.
Of course, the Eternity did not need to know that. He just needed to waste more ti conversing with Nux.
Or at least...
That is what Nux was hoping for.
But...
"The first step to becoming one of the ’Knowers of All That Is’ is understanding how little one truly knows."
The Eternity answered.
"We Eternities know it all because we crave knowledge. Since the ti we ca into existence, we craved to understand the very secrets of existence itself.
This is the difference between Eternities and other beings of the Universe.
You seek strength, we seek knowledge. Our very existence wishes to know everything there is—it is our deepest, strongest desire.
This is also the reason why, unlike the other Supre Worlds, we do not accept subordinates. After all, only a True Born can be aligned with our goals and work towards it.
We didn’t reach where we did by ’guessing’ the correct answer.
We chase knowledge—certain knowledge."
He spoke, his words much deeper than Nux was initially expecting.
Maybe... he wasn’t as arrogant as Nux initially believed.
At least, that was the case when it ca to acquiring knowledge.
And... this wasn’t good news.
After all, Nux could already see where this was going.
"So instead of playing your ga, I will focus on certainty.
I will capture you and learn everything you know using my own certain thods."
Eternity declared, preparing to make a move.
Nux wanted to curse his damn luck, but for now, he focused on what was important.
"Aren’t you getting a little too excited?"
He questioned, trying to stall for ti.
"You might die here, you know?"
He warned, montarily glancing at Sharnoth and—
"Are you sure that you can actually win against the two of us alone?"
He smiled as he took out his trusted sword. Eternity’s expression montarily changed when he saw Nux’s Bloodedge, but he was more interested in Nux’s words.
"Alone?"
He tilted his head with an ominous grin.
"Who said I was alone?"
And before Nux could realize the aning behind those words—
"Co out now.
Don’t foolishly believe you can hide from using the Artifact I created."
Eternity spoke as he stared in a certain direction and in that mont—
"Hahaha! I was wondering when you would call !"
A dark, nacing, soul-shaking laugh was heard as another being materialized into existence.
Darkness.
