Xu Ke glanced coldly at Wei’s mother, and then ordered, "Whoever dares to block the way, hit them. Don’t show any rcy. Whether male or female, break a few bones. I’ll take responsibility for whatever happens." Xu Ke flashed a set of stark white teeth, looking at Wei’s mother as if he could swallow her whole.
"I’d like to see who dares. I am Wei Lai’s wife," Wei’s mother sneered, looking at the bodyguards by Xu Ke’s side with contempt.
"I don’t care whose wife you are, whether future, past, or present, whoever stands in my way will die," Xu Ke said unceremoniously, successfully making Wei’s mother’s face flush red with anger.
The bodyguards Xu Ke brought along were always obedient; they didn’t care who was blocking the way. Just like Xu Ke said, whoever got in his way had their arms broken without a bit of rcy.
Just after Xu Ke had a few words with Wei’s mother, the two bodyguards she brought had both their arms broken. It was just as a pair of large hands was about to land on Wei’s mother, but she deftly dodged them.
Even though she dodged, there was no trace of happiness on Wei’s mother’s face. Retreating like this in front of so many people was a great humiliation for her.
She wanted to open her mouth to denounce Xu Ke, but was scared silent by the murderous aura of Xu Ke’s bodyguards. She was so overwheld she nearly couldn’t breathe, and could only watch Xu Ke leave with his people.
"Useless! You’re all useless! Two people can’t even beat one person. Why do I even keep you? To eat for free?" Wei’s mother looked at the two bodyguards she brought, getting angrier the more she looked, simply kicking each one.
Wei’s mother was wearing high heels, pointed ones, no different from nails piercing into a person’s body, directly making the two big n gasp in pain.
anwhile, Xu Ke took people from the mall directly to the nearest hospital for Yu Xia and Lin ngyao to get checked. Even though Lin ngyao said she was fine, she was still pressed onto the hospital bed by Xu Ke’s icy face, waiting for the doctor to check her.
Fortunately, Lin ngyao was indeed just as she said; besides the bruises on her face, she didn’t have any other injuries. But Yu Xia was more seriously hurt.
She was already in poor health. Staying at ho recently hadn’t made her any better. Today, her emotions fluctuated greatly at the mall, and she was slapped nurous tis, causing a mild concussion. She needed to be hospitalized for observation.
"Everything that happened today is my fault. If I hadn’t insisted on taking her to the mall, Xiaxia wouldn’t have ended up like this. It’s all my fault, all my wrongdoing," Lin ngyao said, her face streaked with tears, falling into Xu Ke’s arms, crying uncontrollably.
"This isn’t your fault from start to finish. Don’t bla yourself. Even if you didn’t take Xiaxia out shopping today, she would have found a chance to go to the Xu Family and cause trouble. The difference is just a matter of ti," Xu Ke said, gently stroking Lin ngyao’s back, comforting her.
"The events of today won’t be let go just like that. I will make her pay the price for today’s actions. Don’t worry, every bit of pain you have suffered today, I will return a thousandfold, a hundredfold. I will never let you suffer any grievances again," Xu Ke’s eyes flickered with a deep light, so quickly that one might think it was a hallucination.
Xu Ke gently patted Lin ngyao’s back until she stopped sobbing and slowly drifted into a dream. Only then did he carry her to the hospital bed.
"You two stay here and protect them well. Besides doctors and nurses, without my permission, don’t let anyone near this room. Understood?" Xu Ke said to the two bodyguards he brought.
"Understood." The two bodyguards replied.
Xu Ke nodded and left the hospital.
anwhile, after beating Lin ngyao and Yu Xia, and then kicking her bodyguards twice, Wei’s mother took people back to the Wei Family.
Wei Ji, who wasn’t bored at ho because the bruise on his neck hadn’t faded, saw his mother returning with people from outside and quickly ran up.
"Mom, what happened to your face?" Wei Ji asked, seeing the crisscross scars on his mother’s face, looking surprised.
Wei’s mother had been preoccupied with thoughts of Lin ngyao, Yu Xia, and Xu Ke, who ca later, and had forgotten about the wounds on her face. When Wei Ji reminded her, she finally started feeling the pain on her face.
"It’s all that little bitch’s fault. The two bodyguards I took were useless. They couldn’t even stop two won, let alone two n. I really don’t know why your father recruited them, what for keeping them?" Wei’s mother said bitterly, covering the wounds on her face.
"Did you go to vent my anger?" Wei Ji’s eyes turned, and he quickly pieced the events together, looking excitedly at his mother and asking.
"Didn’t I?" Wei’s mother replied, glancing at her smiling son.
"I don’t know what you saw in that bitch. She’s nothing more than filthy scum. She looks so sickly you’d think she’d die any mont. What do you see in her?" Wei’s mother rolled her eyes at her son, speaking displeased.
"Look at the wounds on my face. They were caused by that bitch, acting like a maniac despite her age. No family discipline at all. I’m her elder. It’s right for to hit her. Yet she dared to hit back and even cursed . I think it’d be better if she just died, not wasting the country’s resources." Wei’s mother grew more incensed as she thought of Yu Xia’s face, cursing aloud.
"I’m telling you, from today, you have to drop any thought of that girl. If you dare to have anything to do with that bitch, I won’t let you off," Wei’s mother said, twisting Wei Ji’s ear.
"Don’t worry, mom. I must have been blind to like her. Now that I think about it, what’s good about her? She’s barely got any at on her, always looking like she’s about to keel over, as skinny as a skeleton. I can’t even rember why I liked her. Maybe she cast so spell on ." Wei Ji complained, rubbing his ear.
What Wei Ji said was just to go along with his mother, but Wei’s mother took his words seriously.
"You make a good point. Maybe that bitch did use so ans on you. Otherwise, why would you like a nothing like her? That must be it. I knew it, a young person always cursing and with eyes that send chills down the spine, she’s surely no good. She must have used ans on you, causing you to like her."
The more Wei’s mother spoke, the more she felt she was right, and without warming up the sofa under her, she was up again with her handbag, about to go out.
