The playful expressions on everyone’s faces gradually disappeared as they saw Mr. Song’s serious expression, realizing he wasn’t joking.
For months, no matter how excessively they behaved, they hadn’t seen Mr. Song get angry. They thought he had no temper, like a soft bun they could easily manipulate. Unexpectedly, he had silently kept all these things in mind and today had completely shed his sheep’s clothing, revealing the fangs of a wolf.
Everyone was startled by Mr. Song’s sudden revelation of his true nature, a sense of unease rising in their hearts, as if sothing was slipping out of their control.
"Brother Song, you’re joking with us, right? This is such a small matter, it shouldn’t have co to this. If you don’t like it, we won’t do it in the future. There’s no need to speak so distantly," a man said, reaching out to put an arm around Mr. Song’s shoulder, but Mr. Song dodged skillfully.
"Don’t touch . Do you realize your scent is really unpleasant? I don’t know what perfu you use, but it’s so strong and pungent. Even the sll of formaldehyde is more pleasing than yours," Mr. Song said unabashedly, expressing his disdain.
He brushed his shoulder as if trying to rid it of sothing unpleasant, repeating the motion several tis with disgust. The man’s face turned grim, his hand awkwardly suspended mid-air, unsure whether to lower it or raise it, making the whole scene particularly awkward.
"There’s no need to make such an ugly scene. After all, we know each other, and we’ll all be mingling in the sa circle in the future. Making things unpleasant isn’t good," the man said, naturally withdrawing his hand and smiling at Mr. Song, maintaining a calm deanor as if the previous awkward scene had never happened. It seed his composure was quite impressive.
"The sa circle? It’s too early to say that now. Whether I still see you in the circle later is another matter," Mr. Song replied with a smile.

As soon as Mr. Song said this, not only the man but everyone else with Mr. Song was startled, their hearts racing, unable to maintain their composure, their expressions revealing a hint of nace they could not hide.
"Think it over when you get back, and you’ll understand what I an," Mr. Song said with a smile, looking at their startled faces. He felt an unprecedented sense of satisfaction, just as he anticipated. Seeing their changing expressions brought him imnse satisfaction.
But those who ca with Mr. Song were stunned at the mont. What did Mr. Song an by this? Not only did it seem like he was cutting ties, but also intent on completely destroying them.
The group imdiately panicked, dropping their previous lofty deanor and now scrambling like pitiful little dogs wagging their tails madly on the ground, appearing utterly devoid of dignity.
As things went chaotic around Mr. Song, the staff were pushed out from beside him, their clothes and hair a bit disheveled, resembling soone who had just been in a fight.
People on Xu Ke’s side weren’t in a rush to build camaraderie either. Each of them watched with a face of amusent as these previously arrogant people now begged and pleaded, finding it amusing. They even felt that having so sunflower seeds, peanuts, and beer would make it even better.
Xu Ke’s group enjoyed the spectacle while Mr. Song felt delighted being fawned over. The staff, however, stood not far away, bewildered and trembling, unsure of what to do.
Her mind was a bit muddled.
She couldn’t comprehend the turn of events tonight. How did things beco like this?
The group surrounding Mr. Song, seeing he only smiled without any intention of letting them go, had peculiar expressions. Even those who had been flattering him all along closed their mouths and looked at Mr. Song with complicated gazes.
"Are you dead set on not letting us go? Must you be so ruthless? Are you really not planning to leave us any room?" the man asked, his expression slightly twisted.
"Didn’t I make my intentions clear from the beginning? Did you really think I was joking with you before?" Mr. Song tilted his head, looking at the man who asked the question.
"Since you’re going to be so ruthless, don’t bla for being rciless," the man replied, a hint of malice flashing in his eyes, causing others to tremble in fear.
Before anyone could react, the man pulled a pen from sowhere, and he removed the cap with a fierce look, aiming it at Mr. Song’s eye as he charged forward.
If he were to die, he would take soone down with him. Since that Song fellow showed him no rcy, he saw no reason to spare anyone; they could all go to Hell together.
Determined to take Mr. Song down with him, the man charged, his fierce gaze instinctively making the staff who saw his eyes cover their own in fear, though she hadn’t seen the scene; she already felt pain in her eyes.
Yet, the scream she anticipated never ca. When she peeked through her fingers toward Mr. Song, she saw a hand firmly grasping the man’s hand holding the pen. It wasn’t anyone else, but Xu Ke.
No matter how much the man struggled, he couldn’t break free; unable to move even an inch.
"Let go of my hand," the man glared at Xu Ke, eyes filled with indescribable hatred.
"I’ll let you go, but not now. Didn’t your mom ever tell you kids shouldn’t play with sharp objects; you might hurt soone?" Xu Ke said, taking the pen from the man’s hand, ignoring the hatred in his eyes.
With the pen in hand, Xu Ke released the man’s hand, his goal already achieved.
"Who are you, daring to ruin a great plan of mine? Are you looking to die?" the man asked Xu Ke.
"He’s my benefactor. As long as I’m here, I dare anyone to lay a finger on him. If you dare touch him today, don’t bla for retaliating," Mr. Song, for the first ti, withdrew his smile, looking at the people before him with an unspoken danger in his eyes.
