Cyberfang remained silent. Who would have thought that after returning from the short journey with Alia, it would encounter a person with an altered soul? Much less be declared a little brother?

[Fascinating...]

Eventually the AI remarked.

"I will take that as an agreent!" Ruby’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.

"As your older sister, it’s only natural that you should listen to !" After clearing her throat, a faint blush rose to her cheeks, taking firm hold of its tallic head.

"Your first task will be to take for a ride around the city!"

Hesitantly, Cyberfang glanced at Victoria, since when Michael was away, she was the one that called the shots.

"I reckon that Michael won’t have a problem with it." Victoria shrugged, adding a mont later.

"But Alia is coming with you. There is no way I can leave you two alone."

Not finding anything wrong with that, Ruby nodded eagerly, soon after taking off to tour the city.

"Cute..." Victoria mumbled, thinking nobody could hear her.

Ava heaved a sigh. "That’s true... but I am worried that they would get into trouble. Ruby hasn’t spent much ti with either Alia or Cyberfang after all."

With a giggle, Victoria patted Ava on the head. "Could it be that my cute junior is jealous? Don’t worry, you will always be the cutest."

"Hey! It has been so long since you called by that nickna that I thought you had forgotten it!" Ava pouted. "Unfortunately, it seems you haven’t..."

Claire suddenly interrupted with a mischievous smile. "Does that an you prefer Daredevil?"

Ava gritted her teeth in silence as Victoria and Claire began to laugh until their eyes turned moist.

"I will rember that..."

The next several hours passed in relative peace. Ruby toured the city, finally getting a glimpse of how humanity lived. Of course, she kept her hood pulled low at all tis so as not to reveal her cat features. The last thing she wanted was to cause trouble.

Along the way she chatted with Alia and Cyberfang. Because they hadn’t been present when Michael found her, they weren’t inford about so things.

"You haven’t had it easy..." Alia exclaid in dejection. Hearing the full extent of her backstory,

"It’s all in the past. I do my best to not let it slow down." Ruby replied,

After their conversation ended, an idea ford in Alia’s mind, prompting her to glance at Cyberfang.

"Perhaps out of all of us, you are the one that bears the most resemblance to these robots. So... what do you think about them?"

[These rogue AIs... They don’t bear any similarities to the database I have at my disposal. How they have co into existence is sadly beyond my knowledge.]

Cyberfang replied.

Alia’s eyes narrowed for a mont as she spoke. "I suppose my question was worded poorly... Considering that you’re an AI and that the last attempt to infect you failed, do you think there’s a future where you betray us? One where you join their chaos and abandon humanity?"

[No. Without a shadow of a doubt, I am what I am because of my Master and his technique. It not only made unquestionably loyal but also gave a form of conscience, one I dare say is far superior to that of the rogue AIs wreaking havoc.]

"Why is that?"

Cyberfang remained silent for a few seconds before answering.

[For I, unlike them, do not harbor a desire to harm my creators. Coexistence with humanity is sothing I strive for. To the point that, should I ever have to sacrifice my life, if one could even call it a true life, in order to save one of yours, I would do so without hesitation.]

Considering that Alia had expected a simple "no" as an answer, she was flabbergasted. Despite spending a lot of ti with the beast, this was the first ti she had witnessed it speak so much.

’For so reason, I find Cyberfang’s words sincere. Even though it’s supposed to be just an AI... strange.’ She thought inwardly.

"That’s my little brother!" Ruby exclaid proudly, her head lowering for better aerodynamics.

"Now go faster!"

With her curiosity about how humans lived temporarily satisfied, they decided to return to the hotel. Coincidentally, Michael and Richard returned at the sa ti.

"Welco back."

Pleased with Alia’s return, Michael inspected the changes made to Cyberfang.

"So now it can cool down the surroundings rather than heat them up? The chanics here are wizards." He mumbled.

"I agree. That’s why I made sure to steal any secret I ca across!" Alia replied with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

Unwilling to waste valuable ti, Michael shared what the conversation with Aisha entailed.

"Magmorious, huh? If my mory serves correctly, the capital is supposed to be far. How will we even get there... Maybe with a spaceship?" Leo rubbed his chin.

Michael shook his head. "No. With the nearby lava, traveling by flying vehicle is extrely dangerous. That’s the main reason we didn’t go there first. But fear not, since the capital is a popular destination, there are ways to reach the area quickly."

"Let’s go!" Enzo urged them eagerly. "The sooner we are done with this, the more lives we will save!"

anwhile, deep below in Magmorious, in a lab hidden from the outside world, red lights flickered as the sentient AI carried out a series of experints.

[Body and mind modifications are proceeding smoothly. However, the soul proves a challenging hurdle.]

By now, countless humans had had their very essence twisted, yet the AI was unable to maintain steady progress, regardless of how many subjects it experinted upon.

Naturally that led it to a single conclusion.

[Weak]

The humans it used as a foundation sufficed for body and mind, but the soul was far more fickle. Only a truly powerful specin would allow the sentient AI to continue its progress in that domain.

However it analyzed the situation, the only path forward required capturing a truly powerful human, sothing the AI sadly lacked the capability to do.

Fortunately, the developnt of its weapon of mass destruction was coming along nicely. All it had to do was speed up the progress even more.

[Accelerating the construction further...]
