Since Michael wouldn’t be getting any sleep anyway, he decided to at least attend breakfast.
Curiously, once he settled on a chair, Ava appeared right next to his side. There wasn’t even a need to look at her to notice her radiating presence.
"Did sothing good happen, dear?" Isabella’s motherly senses began to tingle once she noticed Ava’s bubbly side. The last ti she had seen the petite woman so happy was when she had been dressed as a maid and fed Michael his favorite dish.
"I am just a bit excited after experiencing several new things." Ava giggled, throwing a distressed glance towards Michael, who in turn seed lost in his own world.
Witnessing Ava’s gesture, Isabella needed approximately a tenth of a second to arrive at the most likely conclusion.
"Oh! Is that so? Then please excuse . I will leave you two alone." She smiled, disappearing out of the dining hall.
Michael arched an eyebrow.
"What was that about?" He pondered.
Just as he turned to Ava for an explanation, she left him speechless by gently spoon-feeding him, catching him off guard.
He tried to retort, but only muffled sounds ca out.
"You need to eat properly in order to recover your strength after last night! One serving just won’t do!"
"...?"
Michael was left completely baffled. Ava’s sparkling eyes seed to pierce right through him. Her affection was so overwhelming that it was clear she wouldn’t be content until she judged him to have eaten enough.
’Well, it’s not bad... it’s great, even.’ He thought, opening his mouth, waiting for the next bite.
Since Ava seed so willing, he let her feed him to her heart’s content. Fortunately, it was still rather early in the morning, and only Michael’s mother had gotten up, so nobody interrupted their mont.
By the end, Michael counted five empty plates in front of him, leaving him to wonder when he had managed to eat more than an entire family.
"Feeling better?" Ava grinned, resting her head on one hand.
Michael simply groaned, realizing too late that he might have overeaten.
"Good." She nodded. "So I take it you’ll be full with vitality by tonight?"
It appeared she wanted to spend more than one night with him.
Before he could respond, Victoria made her way in.
"Morning... Wait, you’ve already finished? Did you two wake up early or just didn’t sleep?"
Suddenly, Ava puffed her chest out with pride.
"Let’s just say neither of us managed to get a wink..."
Victoria tilted her head to the side. Then her eyes widened, grasping Ava’s implications.
Promptly, she settled on Michael’s other side.
"Does that an—?"
"You bet!" Ava said smugly. "You aren’t the only one who can boast about being with him!"
Unsurprisingly, Victoria didn’t seem hurt. On the contrary, since the girls had long been open about their feelings for Michael with each other, she was glad her friend was no longer tornting herself with her emotions.
She was monts away from losing control. Before that happened, however, Victoria cleared her throat to compose herself as she leaned in forward.
"You have to give the details!"
Michael, still stuffed, shook his head, signaling no.
Ava, still smiling, nodded eagerly, signaling yes.
Because Victoria and Claire had the daily routine of dueling each other after breakfast. It didn’t co as a surprise when, a few monts later, Claire also made her way into the room.
Finding it surprising that the two girls had enriched Michael, she approached. It didn’t take long to understand the reason for Victoria’s interest.
"I suppose taking part in this conference is in order." Claire exclaid, brushing her hair back behind her ear to hear better.
After Devil had painted her intimate ti with Michael in vivid detail in front of the whole crew, it was only natural that Claire wanted to hear Ava’s experience, aiming to even the playing field sowhat.
To rub salt in the wound, if that wasn’t enough, Ruby, drawn by the breakfast’s aroma that had settled across the house, quickly descended the stairs, joining the ongoing discourse as well.
Since she had missed the beginning, she wasn’t entirely sure what they were talking about, but she was happy to be included nonetheless, her tail swaying playfully from side to side.
"It all began—"
Ava began to recount the event with extraordinary detail, describing everything vividly without sparing anything, painting such a colorful picture that it was hard to tell whether it was entirely true or if she was simply under the side effects of the butterflies happily fluttering in her stomach.
anwhile, Michael found himself trapped by two stunning won on either of his sides and two more behind his back, effectively preventing him from making a tactical retreat.
With every option of escape abruptly cut off, he had no choice but to rest his arms on the table, both hands massaging his temples as his stomach protested the mountain of food he had consud, all while listening to the girls’ gigglings.
The gradual realization that he might have bitten off more than he could chew slowly dawned on him. At the very least, the won seed to be having the ti of their lives.
"I suppose I should be grateful my mother and sister aren’t here. Otherwise, this conversation wouldn’t have just beco several tis more awkward, but it would have stretched on until sunset..." Michael concluded, trying to look on the bright side.
Eventually, the girls’ chatter settled down, for now at least, since they had to discuss the next faction they would tackle in the third round of the tournant.
After all, unlike the Eternal Blade and Unbroken Chain factions they had faced so far, which were considered small, they were about to face Flawless Starlight. A faction regarded as dium-sized.
Exactly what determined the difference between small and dium-sized factions was highly debated, since many aspects needed to be taken into account. But in general, any faction with ten Lords or more was classified as dium-sized.
As for Indomitable Alliance’s next opponent, Flawless Starlight?
They had twenty Lords.
