“Let’s go, shall we check on your senior sister?” Yang Ping donned the white gown and began the rounds.
Is she really the senior sister? This was confird by Professor Yang himself, not sothing Sisi claid on her own.
If this “senior” were soone else, be it Song Zimo, Xu Zhiliang, or another doctor, they would definitely not acknowledge his status, even just playfully.
But since this “senior” is Sisi, they accepted it without much discomfort, thinking of it as just a child’s play.
Sisi was in the corner fiddling with her cactus. While she was sick, everyone was busy caring for her, and they forgot about the cactus, leaving it unattended.
No matter, it was still growing well. The dead black corner from before now nearly healed, with the green color even more vibrant, looking lively.
The big round of room checks always had a grand atmosphere. Behind Yang Ping, a crowd was already gathered, with so doctors unable to squeeze into the ward, standing on tiptoes in the corridor outside, peering in. If it were other professors making rounds, they would be glad to wait outside leisurely, waiting for everyone to finish the round.
However, Professor Yang’s rounds were different; those who were blocked outside were anxious, standing on tiptoes, straining their ears, hoping to catch every word inside, fearing to miss a single syllable.
Head Nurse Cai helped Sisi sit on the chair by the bed as Yang Ping asked so questions and then perford various neurological exams on her. There were no issues, everything was normal.
The surgical incision had healed well and the stitches were already removed.
“Are you experiencing any discomfort now?” Yang Ping asked.
Sisi shook her head, “Headaches, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting, none of those symptoms, but there is one strange symptom.”
“What symptom?” Yang Ping imdiately beca alert. He had to be cautious about any potential anomalies now.
Sisi thought for a mont, “I’m not sure if it’s related to this treatnt, but the symptom is quite apparent.”
Everyone looked at her, waiting for her to speak up about what the symptom was. She hesitated a bit.
“You mustn’t laugh at .”
“It’s okay, just say it,” Yang Ping encouraged her.
Sisi said, “After this treatnt, my mory has improved significantly compared to before. My mory was good before, but now it’s even better. I can almost recall a book instantly, rember a passage I’ve never read before after just one reading, and recite it verbatim. Previously, even though my mory was good, it always took several reads.”
Is this considered a symptom? Maybe it is.
“Really?” Song Zimo asked in surprise.
Sisi nodded, “The difference in my mory before and after the treatnt is quite obvious. If it weren’t so obvious, I wouldn’t have ntioned it. Does this count as unusual?”
It certainly counts as unusual!
Yang Ping couldn’t figure out imdiately why her mory had improved so much. Was it genuine, or just her perception?
“Let’s do a test to see if you truly have an eidetic mory,” Yang Ping suggested, asking Song Zimo to note it down to test later.
“You can test now, really. It’s not an illusion; my mory has genuinely beco super strong,” Sisi was a bit anxious, feeling that everyone thought it was a post-surgery hallucination.
“Alright, let’s test it now,” Yang Ping looked at the crowd.
A graduate student quickly offered an article, “This is a draft of a paper I wrote myself, printed from my computer last night. You certainly haven’t seen it before, give it a try.”
Song Zimo glanced at the paper. The thesis was too profound for a child to understand, but it was suitable for testing her mory.
Song Zimo handed it to Sisi, who read it word by word, pointing along with her finger, ensuring she only read through it once. Upon finishing, she handed the manuscript to Yang Ping.
“I’ll recite it for you.”
Sisi imdiately began reciting.
Yang Ping looked at the manuscript, thoroughly surprised. She actually recited it word for word.

“Sisi, shall we play a few gas of chess after work, blindfolded?” Yang Ping felt this matter wasn’t simple and needed careful consideration.
Sisi nodded, “Sure.”
This was, indeed, strange. How could the treatnt enhance mory? Does this biological agent have mory-enhancing effects, or did the surgery possess this function? If the improved mory is true, what is the reason behind it, and is it a good or bad thing?
Yang Ping had to understand it thoroughly.

Clinical drug trials are generally divided into four phases. The target group for Phase I trials is healthy individuals, Phases II and III are for patients with the relevant conditions, and Phase IV involves broader clinical observation after the drug is approved for market.
