John Ansen was very happy to receive affirmation.
Actually, Yang Ping was just speaking casually. Sotis when Song Zimo and Xu Zhiliang asked him questions, after finally figuring it out, Yang Ping would jokingly say this.
John Ansen had also heard the professor use this phrase to praise others. Although he did not fully understand the aning of this ancient phrase, he knew it was complintary, which made him very happy.
"But why couldn’t we think of these? If we consulted with geneticists and embryologists, would we achieve a breakthrough? Could we use this thod to find the distribution of the brain stem’s nerve nuclei?" After being praised, John Ansen’s mind was very active, and questions kept coming up.
"I just ntioned, you lack knowledge in this area, so you wouldn’t think of using this knowledge to solve problems. John Ansen nodded; this lesson gave him a lot of insight. As a surgeon, to solve complex problems, having only knowledge within one’s professional field is far from enough. That would an doing repetitive work every day, but you need a solid foundation of knowledge.
In the operating room, during the break after surgery, it was the perfect ti to give everyone a lesson, which didn’t take much ti, just ten minutes or so.
Song Zimo and Xu Zhiliang had other surgeries, and the chief surgeons from the other two operating rooms ca and said that anesthesia for the next surgery was ready, and they could start.
Everyone dispersed to continue with other surgeries; the recent surgery on the conjoined twins was just one of the many surgeries done every day.

After the surgery ended, doctors worldwide were still savoring the experience. So many top experts, after evaluating and re-evaluating, believed the surgery couldn’t be done. The doctors who were previously clamoring are now utterly embarrassed.
After the surgery, Raymond sat in his chair for a long ti, unable to get up. How ridiculous he was—almost missing one of the world’s top surgeries today. He still hadn’t figured out this problem.
"Massimo, you said he’s an amateur neurosurgeon?"
"That’s right; he usually does neurosurgery only occasionally. He used to do more orthopedic surgeries and now doesn’t even do that. His focus is mainly on research now."
Massimo’s words were a heavy blow to Raymond. Although Massimo had ntioned it before, it never struck him as hard as it did now.
An amateur surgeon, who occasionally does neurosurgery, managed to surpass him, even though he is a Nobel Prize winner. This kind of gap is quite a blow, especially to one’s confidence.
"Actually, you don’t need to be unhappy. I’m worse off than you; Professor Yang seldom performs interventional procedures, yet his surgeries are better than mine. There’s sothing in the world called talent. You can’t do anything about it, just like how you studied math all your life and still can’t compare to Gauss when he was a student." Massimo comforted Raymond.
"I wish I could run to China right now to apologize to Professor Yang and learn brain stem surgery from him. I was among those who criticized him before." Raymond said sheepishly.
Massimo chuckled and said, "Better improve your Chinese first. I’ve always wanted to go, but I can’t learn Chinese well. It’s a sha; I never thought Chinese would be so important, but I just can’t learn it well. In that group chat of theirs, the conversations are all in Chinese. Every day, I have to use translation software to barely keep up. If it weren’t for my effort, they would’ve kicked out of the group long ago."
It’s unexpected that the proud Massimo, this interventional genius, had such an experience—truly unfortunate.
"Those Chinese characters are so troubleso, like a picture. I always can’t rember them, and so I rember and then forget. My dream is to one day master Chinese and go to China for further studies."
