Capítulo 1889: Chapter 1308: Can Tumors Really Be Conquered?

Sanbo Research Institute eting Room.

When Yang Ping walked in, everyone noticed sothing different. His eyes didn’t show the fatigue of staying up late, but instead sparkled with excitent.

“Everyone,” Yang Ping didn’t sit down; he went straight to the main screen, “Recently, we’ve gradually collected over five thousand samples, analyzed more than a hundred TIM structure variants, and observed dozens of K Factor function models. We’ve been asking one question: What exactly is the working principle of K Therapy?”

“You must be wondering, hasn’t the principle of K Therapy been figured out long ago? The K Factor combines with the adenovirus to infect specific tumor cells, then invades the cell, and the K Factor initiates the apoptosis of tumor cells.”

“Yes, that’s correct, that’s how it is, but that’s just a superficial phenonon. My previous research on it was rely superficial.”

“Let’s not forget, the discovery of the K Factor was very coincidental, much like the discovery of penicillin. Is penicillin simply just a drug that can kill so bacterial tumors? It’s not that simple. As research on penicillin deepened, a variety of antibiotics erged, and human dicine began to conquer bacterial infections.”

“The sa goes for the K Factor. If we can unlock its true secret, we might be able to conquer tumors.”

Yang Ping brought up a simple diagram, featuring a “lock and key” model.

“Initially, we thought TIM was the lock and the K Factor was the key. Once the lock is opened, the door opens, and the tumor cells are marked, invaded, and cleared.” Yang Ping paused for a mont, “But this model can’t explain many phenona. Why do different tumors require different key variants? What is their inherent pattern? We know nothing. It’s like why penicillin is effective against these bacteria and not those. We cannot just be content with penicillin killing so bacteria.”

Song Zimo frowned and thought, Lu Xiaolu had already sensed sothing, and Tang Shun was writing quickly.

Yang Ping switched to a new diagram: a complex three-tier system.

“I believe,” Yang Ping’s voice was clear and firm, “TIM isn’t a lock but the user interface of an identity verification system. Cancer cells, through this interface, continuously send ‘I am a normal cell, everything is fine’ status reports to the internal and external environnt.”

He pointed to the second layer: “Beneath this interface is a program maintaining cell identity, a complex algorithm ensuring the cell is in the correct position, performing the correct function, and maintaining the correct tabolic state. This program connects to all the cell’s core systems: the energy factory mitochondria, the protein workshop endoplasmic reticulum, the genetic information library nucleus, the immune recognition module MHC…”

“And at the very bottom,” Yang Ping emphasized, “is the order maintenance protocol embedded in the evolution of all multicellular life. The core concept of this protocol is: any cell that loses its correct identity, cannot perform its correct function, or threatens the overall order, must be removed. Apoptosis, autophagy, necroptosis, immune clearance—these are all execution programs of the protocol, and the K Factor rely initiates one of these programs. We stumbled upon its use by accident.”

The eting room was silent; the last ti the professor was this excited was when he proposed the three-dinsional gene guidance theory.

“The reason cancer cells beco cancer cells,” Yang Ping continued, “is not because they invented sothing new but because they hijacked the user interface, forged the identity verification report, and thereby deceived the underlying order maintenance protocol—’Look, I’m a normal cell, don’t clear .'”

He brought up data from three key cases: “And the K Factor is a mandatory truth validation command.”

“When the K Factor binds to TIM with ultra-high affinity, it doesn’t simply ‘tag’ but sends the entire system a top-priority alert: ‘Warning! Identity verification anomaly! User interface hijacked! Initiate protocol investigation at the base layer!'”

Song Zimo suddenly raised his head: “So… the different effects of different K Factor variants…”

“Depend on which specific execution path of the underlying protocol they trigger.” Yang Ping continued, “So directly connect to the apoptosis program, like in the case of children’s osteosarcoma, where the K Factor binding pulls TIM’s intracellular tail, physically prying open the apoptosis switch on the mitochondria. So trigger the immune visibility restoration program; in the lanoma case, the K Factor altered the TIM conformation, affecting the adjacent MHC molecules. So trigger the protein quality control program; in the pancreatic cancer case, the K Factor exposed abnormal proteins, making them recognized by the autophagy system.”

Lu Xiaolu took a deep breath: “This ans theoretically, as long as we find the connection points between the TIM structure and the various paths of the underlying protocol, we can design specific K Factors to precisely choose which clearance path to trigger?”

“Not only that,” Yang Ping’s eyes shone even brighter, “more importantly, if we understand the complete logic of this underlying protocol, we might find a universal awakening thod—not designing a special key for each type of tumor, but learning to issue the sa ultimate command that all cancer cells can understand and cannot refute in their own language: Identity forgery, execute clearance.”

“Although we are still far from achieving this, I believe it can be done one day.”

The atmosphere in the eting room instantly ignited.

Tang Shun was the first to react: “Those tumors with a spontaneous regression tendency! Their TIM system may be unstable because their technology to hijack the user interface is immature, so the underlying protocol’s alert is more likely to be triggered?”
