Although Yang Ping clarified the matter regarding the Inner Canon of Huangdi, those fans didn’t think so. Instead, they believed that Yang Ping deliberately concealed the mystical value of the Inner Canon to avoid excessive comrcial exploitation.

So, after Yang Ping released the video, the craze for the Inner Canon of Huangdi beca even more intense. The effects of K Therapy were evident, and no matter what Yang Ping said now, there were always those who would overinterpret his words.

There was even a mysticism group erging in Europe and Arica, claiming that repeatedly reading the Inner Canon of Huangdi could cure all diseases. Soone even claid that by persistently reading the Inner Canon from morning till night, their asthma miraculously healed and never recurred.

This deeply troubled Yang Ping. He never expected that rely recomnding a book at a conference could cause such a huge response.

On Saturday evening, Yang Ping was invited to attend the first online seminar of the "International Study Group on the Inner Canon of Huangdi."

Robert (as the host): "Thank you all for attending, especially Professor Yang for taking the ti to guide us. Tonight, we will discuss the first five Chapters, with a focus on understanding the basic concepts. Who would like to start?"

"I’ll start!" Before anyone else could speak, Robert began, "I read the first Chapter, the Ancient Innocence Theory. Regrettably, I couldn’t get a simplified horizontal script, only the traditional vertical one, but it’s manageable. I’m most puzzled by ’the ancient people lived a hundred years without weakening.’ If ancient people lived to be a hundred, why do archaeological findings show that the average lifespan of primitive humans was only thirty-sothing years? Is it an archaeological error or a mistake in the record of the book? If archaeology is not wrong, could this data distortion undermine the credibility of the whole book?"

Takahashi: "Robert, that’s literary expression, not statistical analysis. It’s describing an ideal state, emphasizing the importance of maintaining health. There is a great difference between the expressions of ancient people and modern people. The numbers within do not express precise data but rather a concept like big, small, long, short, tall, and short."

Robert: "You an, the hundred years here is like the three thousand feet in ’a waterfall dropping three thousand feet,’ representing a vague concept rather than precise numbers."

Takahashi: "You could think of it that way."

Robert: "Hmm, I’ll have to think about it. Mainly because I’m not used to reading traditional vertical script, but I’ll slowly get used to it."

Professor August: "I’m concerned about the ’Yin and Yang’ in ’complies with Yin and Yang.’ In the German translation, it is explained as ’two opposing and complentary forces of the universe.’ But in a dical context, what does it specifically refer to? Positive and negative signals within cells? The balance of synthesis and decomposition in tabolism?"

Yang Ping: "Professor August’s question is excellent. In ancient tis, Yin and Yang were abstract generalizations of various opposing and unified relationships in nature. In the human body, it can refer to states like cold and heat, surface and interior, deficiency and excess. Using modern language, it can be understood as the dynamic balance relationship within a system, such as the balance of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves, or the balance between anabolic and catabolic tabolism."

John Ansen: "So it’s not a specific substance, but a frawork for describing relationships?"

Yang Ping: "Exactly. Ancients used the Yin and Yang frawork to understand and describe dynamic changes within systems. The focus isn’t on ’what is Yin, what is Yang,’ but on ’how to maintain Yin-Yang balance.’ It describes a balance between two aspects, much like action and reaction."

Woodhead: "How about ’harmonize with arts and calculations’? My translation states ’harmonize with arts and calculations.’ Surgery is an art, calculation is science—that I understand. But how is it specifically done?"

The entire room fell silent, and everyone waited for Yang Ping’s explanation.

Yang Ping smiled: "We might need to consult a true traditional Chinese dicine doctor for this. But my understanding is: ’arts’ refers to technical thods, ’calculations’ to laws and principles. ’Harmonize with arts and calculations’ ans aligning one’s actions with natural laws and correct thods. In modern dicine, it can be understood as: treatnt thods should be based on scientific laws (calculations), while execution should emphasize skill and human care (arts)."

Li Zehui: "I suddenly thought, isn’t this what we pursue in cardiac surgery? Precision surgeries based on anatomical and physiological laws (calculations) along with concern for the patient’s overall state (arts)."

Manstein: "I’m starting to understand. This isn’t an operations manual, but a thinking frawork. It reminds doctors that you are not repairing a machine but assisting a complex life system in achieving self-balance. The book emphasizes two words throughout—balance, while our modern dicine always emphasizes—opposition. The professor’s point is to incorporate this thought of balance; you can’t just engage in opposition, combining balance and opposition is the complete path of dicine. In so cases, only balance can solve the problem, while in so cases, opposition is the answer, right?"

He is indeed a Nobel Prize winner, his understanding is different, always able to quickly grasp the essence of issues.

Robert: You are very right, let take a good look; the traditional vertical script reads slower.

Woodhead remained silent, as his level of Chinese was the worst among these people, and he wasn’t sure what everyone was discussing.

Especially Robert’s ability to read traditional vertical script made him feel very ashad.

The discussion beca increasingly in-depth, with these world-class minds trying to interpret ancient wisdom using their respective expertise:
