Wu Yue could hear the panting of the two large, snow-white tigers running beside Yuan Lang growing increasingly labored.
She reached a small hand into the basket at her waist, took out two elixirs, and patted the back of the large tiger beneath her. "Yuan Lang, open your mouth."
The Beastman paused, startled, but then opened his tiger mouth without hesitation.
He felt sothing small and round being tossed into his mouth by the young female. The next mont, it lted on his tongue.
"This is a pill that replenishes stamina."
The mont Wu Yue spoke, Yuan Lang felt the fatigue in his body vanish, replaced by a feeling of boundless energy.
She then tossed pills to the other young Beastn in turn.
The middle-aged Beastn stared in utter disbelief. Just a mont ago, the younger ones had been panting their guts out. Now, they were suddenly invigorated, as if they’d laid eyes on a beautiful young female, and were sprinting forward, whooping and hollering.
’What the heck is going on?’
A smug look on his tiger face, Teng Qian trotted over to his father to show off. "A mont ago, I felt like my legs were about to give out. But the young female gave an elixir and said it restores stamina, and man~"
As he spoke, he pranced smugly back and forth around the middle-aged Beastn. "I felt all that lost stamina co rushing right back. I could run all the way back to the tribe without even stopping for breath!"
The middle-aged Beastn were instantly envious. The father of Teng Qian and Teng Kun dashed over to Yuan Lang’s side, giving Wu Yue, on Yuan Lang’s back, an aggrieved look. "Young female, why didn’t we old-tirs get any of those magical pills?"
Wu Yue gave a dry laugh. ’Could I really tell them I just ran out?’
"Sirs, you are all so strong and full of stamina. Why would you need pills like these? I only gave them to the younger Beastn because I saw they were flagging and I was worried they would slow you all down."
You have to admit, flattery will get you everywhere.
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged Beastman shot his son a smug look. "You hear that? She only gave it to you because you were too weak."
With that, he flicked a slightly curly lock of fur on his forehead and trotted lightly back to the rear of the group.
A mont later, the smug laughter of the middle-aged Beastn drifted from the back of the pack.
The young Beastn, who had been so cocky just a mont ago, were instantly silenced. They all let out howls and charged forward.
’So humiliating! We have to train harder from now on.’
Boosted by the Beast Power Pills, the young Beastn had their stamina restored and picked up their pace.
The group actually arrived ahead of schedule at the place Yuan Lang had told them about.
It was a small, well-hidden canyon with several caves nestled within it.
The mont Wu Yue slid off Yuan Lang’s back, her legs ached terribly, as if she’d been doing the splits all day.
The Beastn got busy cleaning out the caves. As the only young female in the group, Wu Yue was, of course, looked after and left to rest on a nearby rock.
There were only two caves. Perhaps because the Beastn didn’t visit often, one was already occupied by a few small, wild animals.
The small creatures chittered indignantly as the Beastn drove them out, but they were too cowardly to fight back.
Wu Yue couldn’t help but think they looked like a bunch of disgruntled tenants getting evicted and complaining about it.
She couldn’t help but find it amusing.
Today’s al was a good-sized Big Horned Deer. The Beastn had already cleaned and butchered it, preparing the carcass so that portions could be torn off with a simple tug, minimizing the spillage of blood.
