Since arriving in this world, aside from the Beastman Warriors of the Polar Forest’s four Great Tribes, Wu Yue had never really seen Beastman Warriors from any other tribe.
After Yuan Lang told her this Beastman Warrior was from the Rat Tribe, she sized him up carefully.
Though the beastman was shorter than other Beastman Warriors, he was still definitely over six feet tall. The main difference was in his build.
The Beastman Warriors of the Snow Tiger Tribe were generally quite robust, but this Rat Tribe beastman was comparatively slender.
Wu Yue couldn’t help but turn to Yuan Lang beside her. "What’s this Beastman Warrior’s na?"
"Shuye."
’An IV drip?’
Wu Yue’s expression faltered. ’Is this so kind of personal attack?’
’After all, a na that sounded just like that was the very reason I transmigrated here in the first place!’
The System, observing on the sly, was absolutely losing it.
But it was afraid its host would get angry from embarrassnt and dock its allowance again, so it could only stuff its chubby little fist into its mouth, struggling to hold in its laughter.
Noticing her strange expression, Yuan Lang gave her a puzzled look. "What’s wrong?"
"It’s nothing. I just think his na is rather nice."
Yuan Lang nodded. "I think so too."
As the two were speaking, a flash of light enveloped the Rat Tribe Beastman Warrior up ahead. When the light faded, a palm-sized, snow-white mouse appeared on the rock.
Watching the chubby little mouse in the distance—so fluffy and white, its two black-bean eyes blinking incessantly—Wu Yue felt she should just drop dead on the spot for mocking him earlier.
Its two round ears twitched constantly as it listened to the tribesn speak. Whenever it seed to hear sothing it didn’t understand, it would even tilt its head, as if to ask, ’What did you say?’
’This mouse doesn’t understand...’
Seeing the clear look of adoration in the female’s eyes beside him, Yuan Lang sighed inwardly.
’Of course. Females all like these tiny, soft, fluffy little animals—the kind you could crush several of with a single stomp.’
’And now, apparently, even mice were within that acceptable range.’
Once he had confird the direction, the Rat Tribe beastman, under the expectant gazes of the other Beastman Warriors, disappeared into the deep blue crystal wall with a WHOOSH.
The sound of sharp claws digging echoed from within the crystal wall.
Wu Yue gazed at the hole, which was only about the size of two beastman fists, and turned to Yuan Lang. "Is Shuye going to dig all the way to the Snow Tiger Tribe’s territory?"
Yuan Lang nodded. "It’s the best way. Beastn of Shuye’s tribe can determine the right direction and break through accurately. We’ll then follow the tunnel he digs and expand it. That way, we won’t make any mistakes."
"How long will that take, roughly?"
After all, Shuye’s beast form was so small, and it was still a good distance to the Snow Tiger Tribe’s territory.
Yuan Lang shook his head. "I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see."
"Yuan Lang, Yue, we can’t hear Shuye anymore."
Yuan Lang looked at the assembled beastn. "Everyone, get so rest now. Once Shuye confirms the direction, we won’t have any more ti to spare."
The Beastman Warriors all nodded. For a mont, the cave fell silent, the only sound the rhythmic rise and fall of their breathing.
anwhile, in a forest not far away, a dozen or so Beastman Warriors from the Black Wolf Tribe were hauling several enormous beasts back toward their own tribe.
"I never would have thought that little female from the Snow Tiger Tribe would be so capable. To think she can even heal rotting wounds."
"Who would have thought? Even the witch couldn’t heal a wound like that... Huh?"
