Yuan Lang suddenly stopped, looking at Teng Kun being dragged toward them by Qingcao like a sack of potatoes. "I just wanted you to take the credit," he said. "As for the manual labor..."
He trailed off, and as Wu Yue watched him with a puzzled expression, he gestured with his chin toward the pair. "There they are."
Hearing this, Wu Yue followed the Beastman’s gaze. "..."
She recognized Qingcao, who was built like a small mountain, but ’...that...Beastman? The one being dragged along the ground by one foot?’
’It couldn’t be Teng Kun, could it? The one who was just taken away for a "lesson in love"?’
Her lips twitched as she looked at Yuan Lang. "Is that... Teng Kun?"
Yuan Lang raised an eyebrow. "Of course."
Wu Yue couldn’t help but look at Qingcao with admiration. ’A true heroine among won. You really are worthy of the title, Qingcao.’
’But Qingcao, for your future mate’s sake, shouldn’t you be a bit gentler? I could let the other parts slide, but why does it feel like your "lesson in love" was aid squarely at his face?’
As if sensing her confusion, Yuan Lang explained with a touch of schadenfreude, "When we returned to the tribe today, a young female gave Teng Kun so handmade grass dumplings. Qingcao must have found out."
Wu Yue pursed her lips. "He deserved a beating like that just for that?"
With that, she turned to the tall, strapping Beastman beside her. "Then by that logic, shouldn’t I break all your limbs and lock you in a room?"
The wave of malice was completely unexpected. Inexplicably sensing the little female beside him was eager to try her hand, Yuan Lang suddenly went stiff. He gave a dry laugh and said, "A self-respecting Beastman Warrior like who knows how to behave shouldn’t need such a vicious beating, right?"

Just as Yuan Lang began to relax, her next words nearly scared the tail right out of him.
"We can just disfigure you or poison you. A face that handso just attracts unwanted attention."
She finished with a brilliant, sunny smile, baring a set of pearly white teeth.
A sudden chill ran down Yuan Lang’s spine. ’So, is this why so many n want to take a mate? Is life too peaceful? Do they need to find so danger for a little excitent?’
That was one thing to think, but looking at the radiant little face of the female beside him, the amusent in the tall Beastman Warrior’s eyes couldn’t help but overflow.
’Forget it,’ he thought. ’I’m a powerful General. Can’t I handle one little female?’
’All those years on the battlefield weren’t just for show.’
After silently giving himself a pep talk, he pulled himself together and renewed his advance on the little female.
