The Beastman Warriors were highly obedient to Yuan Lang’s commands. After a few days of training, a new batch of warriors dedicated to firing bricks and tiles was ready.
anwhile, the miserable Scorpion Beastn were sent off to quarry stone.
Wu Yue, Yuan Lang, and the brothers Teng Qian and Teng Kun began construction on the world’s first brick-and-tile house.
Although the fired bricks and tiles were quite sturdy, they took into account the strength of the local wild beasts and Fierce Beasts. They built the walls two layers thick, making them thicker than a Beastman’s body.
The mbers of the tribe watched as Yuan Lang, Teng Qian, and Teng Kun stuck one beautiful little brick after another together with mud. Gradually, a neat, solid wall took shape before their very eyes.
Now, it wasn’t just the slaves and other tribe mbers; even so of the Beastman Warriors who had initially been indifferent began to gather and watch.
As expected of General Yuan Lang, who had transmigrated with a host of advantages, his two Deputy Generals were also incredibly capable. Without Wu Yue even needing to say a word, they had already constructed the fras for the door and windows.
The mbers of the Snow Tiger Tribe were baffled as they looked at the strange structure. It was made of beautiful stones, with one side featuring two holes—one large and one small.

The roofs of the Great Tribes were made by covering them with a few large stone slabs, but Yuan Lang’s roof had a thick tree trunk running down the middle.
"Leave the roof to ," Teng Qian said excitedly, patting his chest.
With that, he climbed onto the roof using a simple ladder he had made.
Wu Yue leaned closer to Yuan Lang and whispered, "Can Teng Qian handle it?"
Although her voice was soft, Teng Kun, who was standing to the side, overheard her.
Before his leader could answer, he chuckled. "Don’t worry, Yue. My brother and I helped the uncle next door repair his roof quite a few tis."
Wu Yue laughed. "And here I thought you were talking about repairing your own roof."
Teng Kun gave a wry smile. "How could we have afforded a brick house? Only the wealthier families in the village could build those.
"My brother and I lived in the village chief’s old house. The walls were made of mud bricks mixed with straw, and the roof was just thatched with dry grass.
"It leaked every ti it rained."
Wu Yue pressed her lips together. ’Looks like they both ca from poverty,’ she thought.
Teng Qian worked on the roof above while Teng Kun and Yuan Lang were responsible for passing the materials up to him.
Amidst this flurry of activity, the sky quickly darkened.
"Let’s stop and rest. We’ll continue tomorrow."
It was only when she heard Yuan Lang’s voice that Wu Yue realized how sore her legs were. She had been standing there watching for the entire day.
The roof was now empty. Teng Qian and Teng Kun were sitting off to the side, ravenously devouring so flatbread.
Wu Yue rubbed her eyes and nodded. "You two should get so rest, too. We’ll continue building tomorrow."
Yuan Lang nodded. "Go on and get so rest."
He himself, however, didn’t leave, instead standing in place to watch Wu Yue walk back.
However, Qingcao and Aya, who had been watching for a long ti, could no longer contain their curiosity. They rushed over, one holding a bowl of fragrant dough drop soup and the other carrying freshly cooked flatbread.
"Yue!"
"Yue, have so food!"
Wu Yue looked at her two friends, their intentions written plainly on their faces, and said with a laugh, "Co on in."
She then lifted the flap to her tent, inviting them inside.
Wu Yue was quite hungry herself. After practically inhaling the food, she wiped her mouth and looked at her two friends, who were fidgeting with anticipation.
"Go ahead, ask whatever you want to ask."
Qingcao spoke first. "Yue, that house you’re building with those pretty-looking stones... won’t it just fall over with a single push?"
"Yeah, yeah! It doesn’t look very strong. Are you really going to live in a house like that?"
Wu Yue looked at them. "The houses in the Great Tribes are also built with stone, and they don’t collapse!"
Qingcao and Aya shook their heads in unison. "How can your little stones compare to their giant boulders? Proper stone houses are built with rocks taller than a Beastman.
"We heard the Beastman Warriors say that if a regular wild beast charges into one, it’ll drop dead on the spot."
’Great,’ Wu Yue thought. ’You’ve even learned how to say "drop dead."’
Wu Yue lifted her chin and said proudly, "Our house won’t collapse even if a Beastman crashes into it."
Her bold declaration was t with looks from her two friends as if she had lost her mind.
