Looking at the woman’s phony expression, Wu Yue couldn’t be bothered to say another word. She shot her a glance and left with Qingcao and the others.

Back at their lodgings, the Scorpion Beastman Captain went to the Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch’s house again. Seeing the witch’s ever-present gentle smile, his mood inexplicably lightened.
"You were too hasty today. You’re a powerful Beastman Warrior, after all. Your hunting thods are surely incredible. You should have observed for a while, picked a target, and *then* made your move."
The female’s voice was warm and gentle, and her words went straight to the Scorpion Beastman Captain’s heart.
The Scorpion Beastman Captain sighed. "It was my fault. I was too impatient."
He then looked at the female across from him. "Witch, do you have any other good ideas?"
The Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch thought for a mont before replying, "Could you bring over the tribesn who have been staying with the Snow Tiger Tribe? I’d like to ask them a few things."
The Scorpion Beastman Captain hesitated. But with their departure date looming and still no solution in sight, he could only nod reluctantly. "Alright, I’ll go get them now."
Angry Beast and his group were staying in the house right next to the Scorpion Beastman Captain’s, just a few steps away. A mont later, they were all gathered in the Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch’s house once more.
Staring at the smiling young female on the heated bed, Angry Beast shot the Scorpion Beastman Captain a strange look. "What do you want to ask?"
The Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch spoke in her gentle voice. "Please, sit. Both of our tribes want to obtain the Snow Tiger Tribe’s thod for building these stone houses, but they’re being very careful, and we can’t find a way.
So I wanted to ask you all, during your ti here, did the people of the Snow Tiger Tribe do anything strange?"
Angry Beast’s brow furrowed, his face twisting in discomfort.
The Scorpion Beastman Captain beside him asked in confusion, "What is it? Was there nothing?"
Angry Beast shook his head, a strange look on his face. "Everything the Snow Tiger Tribe does is weird. I don’t even know where to begin."
’Hell, who’s ever seen a tribe that eats both Iron Claw Worms and Sharp-toothed Fish?’
’It used to be the Iron Claw Worms and Sharp-toothed Fish eating us. Who would’ve thought the Snow Tiger Tribe would be so damn incredible? Not only did they wipe out those two naces, they ate them!’
The witch’s expression stiffened, but only for an instant before her gentle smile returned. "In that case, just tell us about anything strange that happened before they started building the houses."
’Before they built the houses?’
Angry Beast thought for a mont. A miserable expression crossed his green face, and even his hidden tail began to ache faintly at the mory. "Before they built the houses, Wuyue was always making us dig the ground."
’Digging?’
The Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch’s eyes lit up. "And then?"
Angry Beast scratched his head. "And then... that was it."
His large eyes stared at the witch on the heated bed, his expression utterly lost.
"After we finished digging, they had us go gather stone materials."
The Yan Yan Tribe’s Witch’s eyes darkened. ’This isn’t the first ti these Beastn have ntioned gathering stone...’
"Then do you know what they did with the stone materials you brought back?"
Angry Beast’s eyes lit up—this, he knew! "The Snow Tiger Tribe dug a lot of pits and had us throw all the stones we hauled back into them to be buried. They also used big rocks to pound the ground.
Though we had no idea what they were doing."
The representatives from the two tribes discussed this for a long ti. However, aside from the information about digging pits and filling them with stones, they learned nothing new. In the end, the Scorpion Beastman Captain left with Angry Beast and the others.
Back in his own house, the Scorpion Beastman Captain was about to rest when he noticed Angry Beast hadn’t left. He looked at him, puzzled. "What’s wrong?"
Angry Beast dusted off his feet, hopped onto the heated bed, and nudged the Beastman beside him with his foot. "Go sleep in the house next door."
Seeming to sense they had sothing to discuss, the other Beastn took the hint and promptly left the house.
The Scorpion Beastman Captain looked at him. "So you really do have sothing to say?"
Angry Beast grinned slyly and pulled a palm-sized ’stone’ from within his clothes. "Here, take a look at this."
