Guan Qing was at ho discussing the issue she had with Hen Zhiyuan with her father, the army commander when she heard a commotion at the door.
"Xiaozhang, what’s going on? Why is it so noisy outside?" Guan Qing was already in a bad mood, and hearing this noise only increased her irritability.
"Report! Hen... Vice Commander Hen’s wife is outside with a kitchen knife, saying she wants to chop... chop you up." The security guard stamred as he reported the difficult situation.
"Crazy woman! Block her for ; do not let her in. If you can’t handle it alone, call the security company and get more people out here," Guan Qing said angrily.
"Ridiculous!" The army commander chided his daughter in a low voice, then said to the security guard, "Let her in."
"Yes, Commander!"
Ma i barged in furiously, still holding a kitchen knife, and with a slam, she hurled the knife forcefully onto the table in front of Guan Qing.
The tip of the knife embedded into the wood, its gleaming blade casting a cold light under the lamp.
"What do you think you’re doing?" Guan Qing frowned coldly, looking up at Ma i. "Is this the place for you to behave so recklessly, in a commander’s ho?"
"What do I want to do?" Ma i’s face was full of anger, her eyes nearly spitting fire, "I want to ask you what you’re doing? To think I trusted you, only to have my own ho taken over by a seductress. Guan Qing, how could you do such a thing? Where have I wronged you? You and... you two have been sneaking around behind my back..."
"Sister-in-law, now you’re accusing unfairly. You can go ask Zhiyuan, who sought whom that night—was it he who wanted , or I who wanted him? And besides, is now the ti to discuss this? Zhiyuan is about to be discharged! With a dishonorable record, what kind of job can he get after transferring out? Can’t you think about that for him?" Guan Qing spoke coolly, her voice mixed with disdain for Ma i.
"My marriage is about to be destroyed. Whether this man is mine isn’t even certain. Why should I consider these things?"
"Then why are you here?"
"I’m here to chop you up, you little vixen." With that, Ma i lifted the knife and swung it towards Guan Qing.
The security guard rushed forward and grabbed Ma i’s wrist, snatching away the kitchen knife.
Ma i glared angrily at the security guard and slapped him fiercely across the face, "Get lost!"
"Enough!" The army commander could not stand it any longer and stood up from the sofa. He walked up to Ma i and said, "Xiaoma, it’s my fault for not properly disciplining my daughter. I’m sorry that she and Zhiyuan hurt you like this. There’s nothing else I can promise, but there is one thing I can assure you. Starting today, I guarantee Guan Qing will absolutely have no contact with Zhiyuan. Can you believe ?"
Ma i bit her lower lip, standing there, "Can I still believe you?"
"Yes, if you believe , my word is my bond!" the army commander assured her.
"Alright. I believe you. What else can I do?" She still didn’t want to lose her husband.
"Okay, then you should go back for now."
Ma i nodded numbly and turned to leave.
Now she had nothing, but she still harbored a glimr of hope, not wanting to fight Guan Qing to the bitter end.
If she could tolerate it for the mont, perhaps there would be a turn of events to co.
