After Ji Chuan’s reminder, An Hao picked up the pace, and the initially unfamiliar techniques gradually beca much more adept as the surgery progressed.
Finally, in the last monts before the anesthesia wore off, An Hao completed the surgery, but her face was already dripping with sweat.
Stepping out of the operating room, An Hao took a long breath of relief.

The two of them walked out of the operating room when a young nurse approached them and checked the surgery schedule in her clipboard, saying, "The next surgery starts at two in the afternoon."

"Brother-in-law?" An Hao was taken aback by his words, "Where did I get a brother-in-law from? I don’t even have a sister!"
Ji Chuan smiled slyly, "Isn’t Yan Ye your brother-in-law?"
An Hao suddenly rembered that Lin Qiushu was Qin Jian’s cousin, which made her Qiushu’s sister-in-law. If Yan Ye married Lin Qiushu, he would indeed be her brother-in-law.
The logic was absolutely correct!
An Hao laughed along as well: "Aren’t you afraid that if Yan Ye heard this, he might give you a good thrashing?"

No wonder Yan Ye often said Ji Chuan deserved a beating.

"Tsk tsk, I just ntioned your jealous husband and you’re already not pleased? I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I’m stating the facts! Do you deny it? Can you say your husband isn’t a jealous man?" Ji Chuan was very pleased with the nickna he coined for Qin Jian.
"Yeah! So what if he’s a jealous man? That ans he loves very much, and that’s why he gets jealous! And you? As a thirty-two or three-year-old man who’s still not married, there’s not even soone to be jealous for you! What’s there for you to be so smug about?" An Hao smirked proudly at Ji Chuan and quickly stepped ahead of him.
Yan Ye: "..." Indeed a sharp-tongued woman! Her fighting spirit is so strong!
An Hao arrived at the Cardiothoracic Surgery office and knocked on the door before entering.
There she saw Yan Ye resting his forehead on one hand, sitting on the sofa with a troubled look on his face, and holding a cigarette in his right hand, puffing smoke alone.
