At the sa ti, Mouse pressed a gun to Dr. Lu’s lower back. "Stay quiet and do as I say! If you try anything funny, I’ll make sure your death is painful!"
anwhile, the narcotics team officers all exited their vehicles, working quickly to evacuate the surrounding civilians.
A dozen officers raised their pitch-black firearms, aiming directly at the big guy and his group. "Release the hostages and co with us. You might still have a sliver of hope for survival. Otherwise, the only thing waiting for you is death!"
"You think I’ll believe your bullshit? Screw you! Move, all of you, or I’ll shoot them right now!" the big guy roared, racking his gun with a click that sent a chill down everyone’s spines.
"Don’t be stupid and make this worse! Look at how many of your people we’ve already captured. You should know by now—resistance is futile! Only by surrendering can you hope for leniency!" the narcotics team captain shouted, his voice hoarse from commanding.
"Surrender, my ass! Don’t try to con !" The big guy spat, refusing to buy into their talk.
"Cut the crap! Get the hell out of our way, right now!" Mouse snarled, his eyes bloodshot. Raising his pistol, he fired a shot into the air. "Don’t make say it again, or I’ll blow his leg off!"
Concerned for the hostages’ safety, the officers reluctantly stepped back. Their eyes, however, never left the criminals, maintaining constant vigilance.

If the two of them fled now, no one would be able to stop them.
