Candies, toys, abacus, pens, books... everything that could be displayed was laid out on the table.
"That’s quite a collection," Qin Jian chuckled.
"Mom, did you move the whole departnt store here?" An Hao was amused.
She had seen other kids having the Zhuazhou ceremony before, and usually, there were just a few symbolic items on the table. The way their family had prepared so many things was definitely a first.
Zhang Yun ignored everyone laughing at her. She stood up and took a child from Qin Jian’s arms, bringing him to the table: "Co on, Chenyang, you’re first! Make sure to pick carefully, don’t let Grandma down! Grandma hopes you’ll beco a writer in the future!"
"That’s funny," Ning Yibin couldn’t help but say, "Do you think he understands you? You just want him to grab a pen, don’t you?"
"Stop it! Why do you have so much to say?" Zhang Yun wasn’t pleased to hear it.
"I bet he’ll grab sothing to eat." An Hao thought children were more inclined towards food.
But Ning Chenyang’s reaction took everyone by surprise.
His big, bright eyes scanned the items on the table over and over, not finding anything he wanted.
"Pick sothing, dear?" Zhang Yun urged.
Ning Chenyang just wouldn’t reach out.
Ning Yibin laughed: "How do you explain this?"
"Shut up! Are you just here to make fun of , old man?" Zhang Yun glared at him, feeling puzzled inside.
"Let add sothing for you!" Ning Yibin turned and went into the house, returning with a model of a black-covered handgun and placing it on the table.
Little Chenyang’s gaze was imdiately drawn to the gun, his chubby little hand gripping it tightly.
"Well done! A true child of the Ning Family! Our Chenyang surely will be a worthy protector of his holand in the future! Yes, that’s great! He likes the army!" Ning Yibin was in high spirits.
Zhang Yun, however, was not pleased, as she didn’t want her grandson to join the military.
She had prepared so many items, and Ning Chenyang ignored them all, choosing that black handgun model specifically.
"Don’t get excited too soon!" Zhang Yun then brought Ning Chenguang over for the Zhuazhou ceremony, but to everyone’s surprise, the child’s eyes glanced indifferently at the items and didn’t touch them.
No matter what they tried, the disinterested Ning Chenguang simply wouldn’t reach out.
"Are you guys even kids? I think you’re just little old n! Nothing sparks your interest? Oh dear, you’re driving crazy!" Zhang Yun thumped her own chest.
One grabbed the gun, the other didn’t take anything, neither result made Zhang Yun happy.
Aren’t children supposed to like everything they see? Shouldn’t they grab a whole bunch of things? How did it end up like this?
"Mom, don’t be upset!" An Hao took the child and laughed, "It’s nothing more than a wish for a beautiful future for the kids. It’s not accurate!"
"True," Zhang Yun realized she was being too serious, "Alright. Let’s put the things away now!"
Today is a big day for the babies, so naturally, there should be so celebration.
Zhang Yun originally planned to invite so relatives over for a al, to liven things up, but everyone had their own matters.
Yan Ye and Qiushu went on their honeymoon, Granny Xiao traveled abroad, and Tian Niu had just beco a father, everyone was busy! Since they couldn’t co, so be it.
Then their family can have a lively al together.
