Ethan and Sarah hurried onto the street. Sarah walked carefully, constantly adjusting her miniskirt, placing her hands in front and behind to prevent it from riding up. Ethan laughed, finding her cautious waddle amusing.
They reached the curb. Ethan glanced around for a mont, then looked at the empty spot where his totaled BMW must been parked. "Damn it, my car. I forgot for a second that it was gone".
[A true Tony Stark of Temu doesn’t forget his ride, Champion,] the System mocked him playfully. [What, are you going to call Jason for a lift? The man who is currently panicking about your girlfriend?]
"Oh yeah, that’s what you think," Ethan muttered to the System under his breath. "You’ll see what I’m capable of now."
Ethan stepped directly into the middle of the street, forcing a passing delivery van to screech to a sudden halt, the tires smoking. The driver imdiately jumped out, enraged.
"You idiot! Are you trying to get yourself killed? Do you think you’re made of steel, you lunatic bastard!" the driver scread at the top of his lungs, hurling a stream of insults at Ethan. "Get the hell out of the way! I’m calling the cops!"
Ethan reached into his inventory and drew his pistol. Sarah gasped slightly behind him, ignoring where the weapon had co from since Ethan was practically naked monts ago.
Ethan fired the pistol once at the pavent right next to the driver’s feet. CRACK!
The driver imdiately fell to the ground, terrified and trembling, his screaming instantly silenced.
"Get the hell out of here, you pathetic idiot!" Ethan yelled at him.
The driver scrambled backward, then took off running without another word or even turning back. For a mont, the driver looked over his shoulder, trying to get a look at the man who had stolen his van, but Ethan fired a second shot into the ground right next to him. The driver instantly lost any intention of looking back and continued fleeing.
Ethan jumped into the driver’s seat of the van. He yelled at Sarah and frantically waved for her to hurry up and get in. Sarah, heart pounding, scrambled into the passenger seat beside him.
Ethan accelerated, speeding back toward the heart of the city, weaving between cars. He wondered aloud about his next move.
Ethan thought "Should I go to Jason and lead the counter-attack, or rush straight to Cassandra?" He decided to consult his dangerous advisor. "System, I need to get strong now. I need an edge."
"You said that all the Silver-level items that cost 1,000 Lux points are practically gifts, but I’m so poor right now, it’s impossible for ," Ethan told the System, gripping the steering wheel. "So, I need a mission that gives a lot of Lux points, not money. Show what I can do to earn Lux quickly."
The System sounded delighted. [Finally, Champion! Asking the right questions! You want to play the ga! Let show you so Chaos Missions currently available in this city that will generate maximum emotional fallout and Lux Points. Choose wisely; these are not for the faint of heart.]

Ethan quickly scanned the System’s list of Chaos Missions. Ethan thought, any of these would take hours just to scout the targets and find the right places. By the ti I finished, Cassandra probably wouldn’t be in this world anymore.
Ethan took a deep breath, rejecting the plan. He floored the accelerator of the stolen delivery van, speeding down the road far in excess of the limit, heading directly toward Celestial Garden.
Midway, a patrol car’s flashing lights appeared behind them, signaling them to pull over.
"You sons of bitches, what rotten luck!" Ethan cursed, slamming his hand on the steering wheel.
"What are we going to do?" Sarah asked, panicking, looking at the police lights. "The van is stolen!"
"Calm down, Sarah," Ethan said, trying to maintain a soothing tone despite the tight knot of anger and frustration in his chest. "Don’t worry about the van, worry about the story. You’re my excited girlfriend who just wanted a quick ride. That’s all."
The van rolled to a stop. A female officer approached the vehicle. She had dark, wavy reddish-brown hair, a remarkably sexy physique, and an authoritative presence that made her uniform look exceptionally tight.
As Ethan watched her walk toward the driver’s side window, a dangerous mission idea flared in his mind.
Ethan thought "This is a target that cos to . No wasted ti. Let’s see if this works".
Ethan ntally queried the System. Ethan thought: System, can I make Eromissions yield Lux points instead of money?
The System sounded intrigued. [Yes, Champion. I can adjust the reward paraters for a spontaneous Eromission]
the System confird. [Provided you surprise . This must be exponentially more chaotic than sleeping with a civilian in a safe place. Seducing an Officer of the Law at a traffic stop? That should suffice].
A predatory smile crossed Ethan’s face. The officer reached the window and asked for his papers.
"License and registration, please," the officer requested, her voice stern.
Ethan began to feign searching the glove compartnt, but the officer seed distracted, looking at him with surprise for a mont.
"Permit a mont," the officer said quickly, her voice losing its edge. "I’ll check sothing in the patrol car."
The officer imdiately walked back toward her vehicle, speaking into her radio. Ethan disliked the change in her tone.
"Do you have a card with you, Sarah? Anything that looks like a driver’s license?" Ethan asked quickly.
"Yes, here," Sarah replied, handing him her license.
"Great. Be right back," Ethan said, taking her license along with the van’s stolen papers. He opened the door, got out, and walked toward the patrol car with his hands slightly raised.
"Here are the papers," Ethan said, walking toward the officer, who was now next to her car. "I brought them to you so you can review them."
