Now reading: Chapter 80: Blaster from Talent Awakening: Rise Of The Underestimated All-Profession Awakener!, a Fantasy novel by ReaperXXD.

A blast had struck Gavin’s ho, and it was already engulfed in what looked like a mix of red and green flas.

It was the kind of attack that no one was expected to escape from, and surely there was very little chance of anyone surviving it.

A considerable amount of people had gathered outside the building, including those who knew that the Mayor, Gavin and his family, and two visitors were inside.

A stir was caused, but it was clear that there was nothing they could do because it wasn’t the kind of fla that could be quenched by just anyone.

"Red and green fire... It’s from a Blaster," a random figure in the gathering said, placing his hand on his head.

"What does that an?" another person asked.

"It ans the one who made the attack would be the only one who can quench it. Every Blaster has a formula, and the quencher is guaranteed before the Blaster is made. Or else, if a Blaster strike is made, it would keep burning forever if there is no quencher."

That knowledge didn’t settle as just a lesson but as another weight of panic. However, it didn’t stop the gathering from watching the disaster as the flas continued flaring up.

...

"Whahhh..."

"Damnit! My arms are burnt!"

At the other side of the building, North and Roman had miraculously jumped out.

Roman had almost half of his body peeling from the burns, while North’s whole face was already a burnt disaster.

"Whahhh...!" Roman exclaid the mont he gave her a look.

Her face looked so bad and ugly from the burns, but then he still noticed the calm and collected smile on her face even though she knew her face was suffering.

[Absolute Regeneration activated.]

Roman soon watched her face regain its forr smooth, beautiful appearance, and the parts of her breast that had been affected were healed as well.

That part of her clothes was already burnt to ashes, and Roman could clearly see the upper side of her breasts, which she didn’t even try to cover up.

His eyes drifted there many tis until she suddenly noticed, and when she raised her head, Roman suddenly looked away with the kind of speed that couldn’t be studied.

"What were you looking at?" she soon asked, a curious look appearing on her face.

"Err? ? Nothing... I was just..."

"My breasts, right?" North cut in.

"Ah, no. No, I was..."

"You can’t lie to . I don’t have a mind-reading ability, trust , but I know what you were staring at," North interrupted again, and she approached him, staring right into his eyes.

She soon touched his chest, and well, Roman was seeing it as sothing else until the burns on his body began to heal, and he could no longer feel the pain.

"I have a boyfriend, Roman. If he ever hears what you did, he’d want to blow your brain out with a cannon," North said with a facial expression that seed serious, and he nodded right at once.

"So yeah, let’s get the hell outta here," she added, as they followed the path away from the burning building, disappearing at once.

And what was left behind was the building and whoever was still inside, burning to death.

The reality was that they had both learned that the Mayor was truly behind the monster outbreak, and the best thing was that he was still in the burning building.

Roman and North were completely sure that there was no way anyone was surviving that, and just the fact that they had escaped it was still a miracle.

He didn’t know for sure how North was able to detect the danger a second before, as they had been able to dodge the direct impact of the blast.

Even though the aftermath of the blast, which was the instant engulfing of flas throughout the entire building, had affected them, they were still able to get out thanks to North’s flawless awareness.

"You saved my life," Roman said to her while they sprinted towards the Citadel, making sure that little to no one noticed them.

"This is no ti to say such things. You are one of us, so stopping you from dying is one of my responsibilities," North said.

Roman could only give a nod as they continued running.

When they got to the Citadel, there were almost no guards around, as many of them were deployed to Gavin’s house at that ti.

The few that were there just happened to offer help upon seeing North and Roman’s burnt clothes, but they hadn’t wasted a single second in the Citadel before taking their runners and drifting away.

They left Citadel City in a heartbeat, even when the disaster happening in the city hadn’t been settled, and it was truly none of their business.

What Roman wasn’t certain about was who attacked them and why. It was an attack made right inside the city against one of its council mbers, which ant it might be a vital enemy for sure.

"I can’t just get myself to figure it out. Maybe the attacker knew that the Mayor was there, so he decided to attack because the Citadel has always been more secure. The Mayor might be his target," North said.

"That’s what I think too. If I can just get a chance to use [Echoes of the Past], I might figure out who did it. Might be soone I know... Might be soone who survived the outbreak and is planning on avenging it," Roman spoke, his eyes filled with confidence in his assumption because it was really not a stupid one.

"Well, too bad. We aren’t getting that chance anymore. The Mayor is dead. Gavin and the rest of the council mbers as well. I’m pretty sure the next Mayor wouldn’t be a dickhead... So for now, Citadel City shouldn’t be a problem anymore," North revealed.

They were driving pretty close to each other as they made that conversation, and even though Roman wasn’t completely satisfied with what she had said, he just nodded and agreed.

He gapped her runner, leaving her almost behind, and with a smile, she joined him in the race as they journeyed back to Blood Trial Outpost.

While he drove, he gave his level stat a short look and shrugged his shoulders.

"About ti to have fun again."

Ti to hunt.
