When she died, or when the growth of her magicules reached its limit, she would create a split body of herself—in other words, give birth to a child. That child inherited all of the previous generation's sense of self. A being who repeated evolution and degeneration. That was the power that allowed Ramiris to remain a demon lord.

As the conversation continued, Rimuru and Shizu heard sothing astonishing. In the past, Demon Lord Leon had once co here as a Hero.

"He asked for sothing completely absurd—wanted a specific person summoned from another world. I an, obviously that's impossible, right? Summoning otherworlders at all isn't easy, and then he wanted to pick out one exact person? That's the kind of feat only Veldanava could have managed..."

Then, apparently out of frustration, Leon had taken the greater spirit of fla, Ifrit. That sa Ifrit had gone around and around, possessed Shizu, and now resided inside Rimuru.

By the ti the story ended, we had arrived at [The House Where Spirits Live]. It was exactly what the na suggested: a circular passage of dazzling light, with a round platform at the very top.

For anyone seeing it for the first ti, it was a majestic path of light, enough to leave them awestruck.

"All right, then. Who wants to go first?"

The children seed to find the whole situation exciting and imdiately started arguing, each insisting they should go first. But Gale, the oldest among them, shot his hand into the air and said, "I'll go first. That's okay, right?"

And so Gale, as the eldest, was the first to follow the path of light and step into the circular space.

"Teacher, if sothing happens to ..."

"Nothing's going to happen, so just get it over with already."

To ease Gale's rigid tension, Vertis slapped him on the back, while Rimuru patted his head.

Once he reached the center, Gale closed his eyes, clasped his hands, and prayed.

A mont later, particles of light slowly drifted down from above, like snow falling from the sky.

"An earth spirit... but not a greater spirit..."

"Then..."

"Yeah, let's do what I said."

Vertis gathered the earth spirits that had appeared above Gale's head and fused them into a single greater spirit, then Rimuru devoured it with [Hungry One]. Finally, Rimuru analyzed Ifrit's personality data and created a personality for it.

When that newly made greater earth spirit was made to possess Gale, we could see that the rampaging energy inside his body stabilized.

"Good. That's it. You really did well."

I created the greater spirits, Rimuru consud them, gave them personalities, and then had them possess the children.

The next was Elise. She said the path made of light was scary, so I asked if she wanted to fly her over there with magic. She said that sounded even scarier, so in the end she clung to Rimuru instead.

Elise, who controlled golems, apparently had an affinity for the space attribute, so a spirit of space appeared. As usual, we gathered and consud them to make a greater spirit body, then Rimuru gave it a personality and had it possess Elise.

After that, things continued very smoothly.

Kenya didn't even need us to make a greater spirit for him. The mont he stepped onto the platform, a greater spirit of light suddenly appeared from the sky and possessed him of its own accord.

It seed the saying that greater spirits were willful wasn't a lie after all.

Next was Ryota. Unexpectedly, Ryota seed to have an affinity for both water and wind. Two greater spirits descended at the sa ti, and as a result, a spirit with dual attributes—water and wind—was born.

Thus, a doll inhabited by a demon was born—sothing both eerie and beautiful at once.
