Upon entering the ruins, Shirazawa and the others were stunned by the sight before them. Buildings dripping with high-tech aesthetics filled their vision, and red warning lights began flashing in sequence.
"Alert, Alert! Intruders detected!"
In the next instant, countless gun barrels extended from the walls, swiveling toward the group. But before they could fire, a furious Ariel lashed out with a massive spray of spider silk, binding the firearms instantly.
*Crank, snap, shatter—!*
With a series of clear snapping sounds, all the turrets were rendered obsolete, sparks flying in every direction.
"What's the deal? Is that it?" Sophia was dazed; she had expected a desperate struggle. *It's really good to have Big Sister Demon Lord around.*
"Aze, the technological level of this world is a bit high," Shiro couldn't help but remark via telepathy. From the current situation, the tech in these ruins surpassed Earth's by at least several centuries. For them, living in a world of swords and magic, the dissonance was overwhelming.
"A long, long ti ago, this world was in an era of technological civilization. But with the reckless squandering of MA Energy, the planet's resources were depleted. Human civilization gradually regressed and eventually decayed into what it is today," Shirazawa explained expressionlessly to the group.
"Currently, except for the Village of the Elves, which retains a high level of technology, most places are basically what we've seen. "This is an old-fashioned hidden elevator. It temporarily softens the surrounding soil into silt to facilitate movent. But this device is useless and wastes a massive amount of energy—only Potimas would invent sothing like this," Ariel criticized bluntly before destroying it with another punch.
Behind the elevator, a long corridor was exposed, seemingly leading to a hidden room. As they reached the end of the path, the area opened up suddenly, and a large swarm of humanoid chanical soldiers surged toward them.
These machines had humanoid bodies, but their heads were dark cannon muzzles and their torsos were lined with machine guns. They looked formidable. Red alarms blared again as a dense barrage of shells poured out.
Shirazawa was quick, summoning an earth wall to block the incoming projectiles while simultaneously using a to crush the leading chanical soldiers into scrap tal.
"Careful, this is like a munitions factory. There are even stronger chanical guards here," Ariel warned the group before leaping forward to strike the oncoming guards.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Fierce collisions echoed through the room. Ariel's figure flickered; every ti she appeared, she struck a guard's head. Spider silk flew everywhere, and the chanical army was crushed in an instant.
The four spider sisters drew their long blades and joined the fray.
Six-Sword Style: Slash!
Twenty-four blades flashed with cold light. Combined with their dazzling swordsmanship, they were like the scythes of the Grim Reaper, harvesting "lives"! It was a sight to behold.

Just as the battle was nearing its end, a wall ahead suddenly cracked open. She imdiately sensed danger. A terrifying energy shell was streaking toward Sael, the most timid of the four sisters.
"Not good!"
Even Shirazawa wouldn't dare take a hit from sothing that powerful. In the nick of ti, a white blur flashed forward. She grabbed Sael with one arm and swung her death scythe with the other. Black rot energy erupted, clashing violently with the energy shell.
*BOOM!*
In a deafening explosion, the two powerful energies collided. A violent shockwave expanded, making the entire building tremble. The wind howled, Shiro's robes fluttered, and her long hair danced as she blocked the impact of the aftershock.
*Hmph! Am I cool or what? As expected, the protagonist always appears last. Okay, daily activity goal reached. Slipping away now.*
Seeing the two were safe, the group turned toward the source of the energy blast. At the front of the battlefield, a new steel beast had appeared.
