"A tank?!"
Everyone was struck with disbelief as they got a clear look at the steel behemoth before them. Even with their ntal preparation, they had vastly underestimated this enemy.
The steel beast stood about three ters tall, its outer shell pitch-black and pulsing with an unsettling dark-red glow, radiating a sense of crushing weight and durability. Mounted on its shoulders were two hideous cannons. A ghostly blue light flickered at the muzzles, looking as if it could rip the very air apart. It stood there motionless, yet it exerted an inexplicable pressure on the group.
Sensing the threat, Big Sister Ael imdiately led Riel and Fiel in a charge. Holding six sharp blades each, the three closed in on the steel giant from both sides. Ael kicked off the ground, vaulting into the air to reach the giant in an instant.
*Clang! Clang! Clang!*
A cascade of sparks erupted as Ael's six-sword style hacked violently against the tallic exterior. To everyone's shock, they couldn't even scratch the surface. One had to rember that the sisters' stats were approaching 20,000—comparable to Myth-class monsters. Yet, they were currently helpless against a tal construct.
*BOOM!*
Suddenly, a roar echoed from the back of the steel giant as a shell fired, aid directly at Ael. Seeing this, Shirazawa flickered forward, his twin blades slashing at the tal barrel to intercept the projectile.
*THUD!*
A dull explosion rang out. Midst the flying sparks, the shell was knocked to the ground, blasting a hole several ters deep. Shirazawa, however, was sent flying by the shockwave, a streak of blood appearing on his cheek.
"Damn it!" Shirazawa cursed. This giant was surrounded by an . As long as they were in close proximity, all System-based magic skills were nullified. The only ans of offense was pure physical force. "Stupid Potimas, why the hell did he invent this kind of barrier?"
Shirazawa complained as he flipped several tis in the air before landing steadily. He reached up to touch his cheek; the wound healed instantly. Looking up, he saw that the steel giant had already been reduced to scrap tal. The three sisters had also been blown back by the blast, exiting the fray.
"Hmph, luckily my twin blades have maxed-out physical attributes. A re little tank is easily dealt with." He glanced at his weapons' stats, feeling a secret sense of relief.
[Weapon]: Shirazawa's Twin Blades
[Attack Power]: 16,000
[Durability]: 99,999
[Properties]: , , ,
Forged from parts of his own body, these weapons had sohow grown into legendary armants that were nearly indestructible. They were the perfect tools for dealing with these tallic monsters. Shiro's great scythe was equally formidable. Whether it was due to the growth correction of or a certain soone's twisted sense of humor, these weapons were the natural enemies of Potimas.
Watching the tal monster get one-shotted by Shirazawa, the others were speechless. *If you keep this up, the rest of us have no role to play!*
Sophia and ra, in particular, felt the sting. They had thought that after a year of grueling training, their strength would be catching up to the rest of the team. Who would have thought that their actual stats wouldn't even compare to Shirazawa's *weapons*? It was heartbreaking.
"Sophia, ra, return to the surface imdiately. Monsters of this level are just small fry; there are far more terrifying things further in," Ariel commanded, sensing that sothing was wrong with this place.
"What?! This thing was just a small fry?!" Sophia's eyes widened in disbelief. Her self-esteem had just taken another massive critical hit.
"Stop talking and just—"
*BOOM!*
Before Ariel could finish, another explosion thundered in the distance. This one was deafening and much closer. A terrifying heatwave swept through, knocking everyone to the ground.
"Oh no!" Ariel's brow furrowed. She realized what was happening. "Go! We're retreating!"
Hearing her command, the group didn't hesitate and began sprinting back the way they ca. The flas behind them grew more intense, scorching the air until it warped. Ariel grabbed the slowest mbers, Sophia and ra, and bolted. Shiro picked up Sael and Fiel, while Shirazawa hoisted the remaining Riel and Ael onto his shoulders, racing to keep up.
"My butt... hot, hot, hot!" Acting as the rearguard, Shirazawa couldn't help but yelp as the flas licked at him.
"Big brother, your spider-butt is charred~" Ael's weak voice drifted up, making Shirazawa's mouth twitch. He wanted to punch her in the head. "Don't ss around!" He gritted his teeth, forcing down the urge to discipline the loli. At least Riel, the ditz, was reliable—or at least quiet and unlikely to cause trouble.

Three minutes later, they finally reached the surface. Just as they landed, the ant cave behind them was swallowed by searing white fire. Before they could react, a massive pillar of fire erupted in the distance, piercing the clouds. The scene was comparable to a nuclear explosion, filling the group with dread.
Then, a black object shot into the sky at high speed, vanishing into the atmosphere in an instant.
"What was that? It went *whoosh* and disappeared," Sophia said, blinking her watery eyes in confusion.
But it was far from over.
*Rumble!*
Suddenly, the earth shook violently as if a dragon were tossing in its sleep. The fire pillar gradually died down, only to be replaced by a massive, saucer-shaped steel warship. Its sheer size was staggering. It was several kiloters wide, hovering in the sky like a floating island, its engines spitting brilliant flas that showcased its majesty and dominance.
"What on earth is *that* thing?!" Sophia asked, stunned.
Shirazawa narrowed his eyes. "That's the G-Fleet, a warship capable of destroying the world. Tsk, troubleso."
The group gasped. They didn't know what a G-Fleet was, but "destroying the world" was a scary enough description.
"ROAR~!" "AWOO~" "SWISH~"
Dragon cries and the sound of flapping wings filled the air.
"Hey! Didn't you say you were just passing through?!"
"What is going on now?"
"If you don't give a reasonable explanation, don't bla this lord for being impolite!"
The Wind Dragon Hyuvan landed before them, looking ready for a fight.
"Huh?" Ariel looked at him in shock. "You dare move against ? Since when did you beco so brave?"
"Hmph! So you think you're a tough guy? Out here in the world, what's the use of being able to fight?!" Hyuvan sneered arrogantly. "I've got a big boss backing up!"
The Wind Dragon was gloating. Even though his boss, Güliedistodiez, was usually nowhere to be found, he could still back him up in a pinch! *So what if you're the Demon Lord? Once my boss gets here, won't you just be sent flying with one punch?*
Everyone almost fainted. Shiro especially. Rembering the noble and arrogant pride of the Earth Dragon Araba, seeing this "henchman" type of dragon before her felt like a total downgrade. His stats were clearly Myth-class, and he was an ancient beast, so why was his behavior so cheap?
"Fine then, call your boss over," Ariel waved her hand dismissively. "We can't handle this thing anyway. Let him deal with the trouble and educate his subordinate while he's at it."
Hyuvan was dumbfounded. This wasn't following the script at all...
