Shirazawa didn't reply imdiately. His gaze remained locked onto D, carefully reading every microscopic change in her expression.
She had changed a lot.
The D of the past always wore a deceptive mask, displaying a completely expressionless poker face to everyone—much like how Shiro acted now. But right now, she had shed that entire layer of camouflage, exposing her true self: a wickedly magnificent, unfathomable, and utterly reckless God.
"Have you looked your fill?" her indifferent voice rang out, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Shirazawa raised his eyes to et her gaze, his expression entirely unbothered. "Why did you bring here?"
D blinked slightly in surprise, then let out a soft sigh, a profound ripple of emotion dancing deep within her eyes. "Don't you have anything you want to ask ?"
"Uh..." After an agonizingly long silence, Shirazawa ticulously gathered his thoughts. "How is... my Body Mind doing?"
He was still genuinely worried about his brother-in-arms. As for Shiro, with D managing the safety net, she was definitely going to be fine.
D had never anticipated that his very first concern would actually be directed toward his own detached clone, causing her to instantly burst into amusent. "Don't worry, he's living quite comfortably. Far better than you, at least."
Shirazawa's brow twitched, a wave of inexplicable relief washing over him. "Oh, is that so."
Then, he slowly looked down to inspect his own body.
*Yep. The two giant, view-blocking mountains are officially gone, and the little brother has finally returned.*
Shirazawa instantaneously let out a massive sigh of relief. Everything had played out exactly as his hyper-accelerated deductions had predicted: as long as he didn't try to get clever and needlessly learn that gender-reversal skill at the absolute last second, his body would default right back to normal upon achieving Godhood.
The only reason his evolutionary path into a Small Less Taratect and beyond forced him into a spider-girl form was purely due to his innate traits. While sharing stats and skills with Shiro, his physical data—including appearance and body type—had been synchronized with hers. Therefore, in a structural sense, he had always been male; he had simply been piloting a spider-girl avatar.
Once he achieved Godhood and broke free from the System, those binding traits were forcefully revoked, allowing him to reclaim his original male physiology.
However, it was glaringly obvious that D had never intended to let him off that easily. She had correctly anticipated that he would try to exploit a System loophole to restore his male form. As a counterasure, she had secretly corrupted the underlying source code of the gender-reversal skill, digging a massive trap just waiting for him to jump in. If he had panicked and purchased that skill at the final stretch, his already male physiology would have been structurally rewritten into a genuine ani girl.
The Body Min's original warning was undoubtedly: "Whatever you do, don't change your gender!"
Shirazawa had ultimately chosen to trust his gut and skipped the skill. He had won the gamble!
Before he could even relish his victory, he suddenly realized he was stark naked. He slowly raised his head, catching D's highly amused, mocking gaze. His face instantly flushed a brilliant crimson as he hurriedly used both hands to cover his vital zones.
"What are you staring at? Haven't you seen one before?"
Hearing this, D raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Getting shy now, are we?" She deliberately stepped closer, murmuring in a deeply teasing, intimate tone, "To tell you the truth, I really haven't seen one quite this large before."
"Shut up!" Shirazawa snapped back, highly annoyed.
D completely ignored his protest. She reached out, gripped his sternum, and gave it a sharp, calculated twist.
*CRACK!*
Accompanied by the distinct sound of fracturing bone structure, Shirazawa sucked in a sharp breath of agonizing pain. "What the hell are you doing?!"
D released her grip with a bright, flowing smile. "Just giving you a little dical treatnt~ It would be such a sha if you were left with physical complications. After all, you wouldn't want to find yourself unable to father children down the road, right?"
"..." Shirazawa gritted his teeth. "Are you a literal demon?!"
D shrugged. "Precisely. I am an Evil God."
Shirazawa was entirely choked for words. "..."
He finally saw her for what she truly was: a complete and utter psychopath—no, an absolute perverted, celestial delinquent!
However, as a series of crisp pops echoed through his skeletal frawork, Shirazawa suddenly felt his body beco incredibly light. His newly reclaid physical vessel, which had felt a bit foreign a second ago, felt flawlessly integrated with his soul now. The structural compatibility was shockingly high.
"Well?" D parted her crimson lips. "Have you tasted a bit of my sincerity yet?"
"Hmph!" Shirazawa let out a cold snort, arrogantly turning his head away. There was no way he was believing this woman was doing this purely out of the goodness of her heart.
"My little tsundere, congratulations on officially crossing into the realm of Gods." D playfully pinched his chin, forcing his face back toward her. Her gaze was incredibly deep and distant.
Shirazawa glared back at her. "Yeah, I'm absolutely thrilled. Thanks a million."
"You seem to harbor a rather massive grievance against ~" D giggled softly. Her slender, pale finger traced its way down from his chin, sliding past his throat, gliding over his collarbone, and then slowly, unhurriedly caressing his chest.
The sensation was profoundly surreal. For a brief second, Shirazawa actually tasted a hint of genuine, intoxicating romance in the air. His entire fra shuddered violently, and he forcefully slapped D's hand away.
"If you want sothing, just spit it out. Stop touching ."
D let out a soft sneer, her tone carrying a trace of mocking disdain. "What? Don't you human n prefer it when a woman takes the initiative? Don't tell my charm is lacking?"
Hearing those words, a flurry of highly inappropriate scenarios instantly flashed through Shirazawa's mind. "An Evil God's temptation is far beyond my pay grade," he replied, shaking his head in denial. While D was undeniably breathtaking, she was also a walking cataclysm. As it stood, he simply couldn't afford to provoke her.
"Tsk." D seed slightly disappointed, but she quickly adjusted her mindset, defaulting right back to her usual, lazy deanor. A pitch-black throne materialized out of thin air behind her, and she seated herself with immaculate elegance.
"I need you to do sothing for ," she stated carelessly, finally laying her demands on the table.
*See? The fox finally reveals its tail.*
"Let's hear it." Shirazawa looked down at her.
"Accompany to the Underworld. You're coming with ."
"..." Shirazawa choked, taking half a beat before finding his voice. "Are you trying to conscript into your workforce?"
D cast a sideways glance at him. "What? Do you feel wronged working under ?"
"...I wouldn't dare." The corner of Shirazawa's mouth twitched in a profoundly fake smile. "How could anyone possibly feel wronged working under your supre authority?"
"Since you know how powerful I am, why waste your breath talking back?"
Shirazawa: "..."
*Damn lunatic. This woman is completely beyond reason.*
"Are we leaving right now?" he asked tentatively.
D nodded slightly. "Right now."
"What about the benefits?" Without a salary package that satisfied him, there was absolutely no way he was lifting a finger.
"Naturally, I won't treat you unfairly." D's lips curled into a wickedly enchanting smile, assuming Shirazawa had already accepted the offer. "While you have technically transcended the boundaries of ordinary mortals by devouring the GMA Bomb and ascending to Godhood via a System exploit, right now, you are nothing more than an ordinary human who possesses an astronomical reservoir of energy but has absolutely no idea how to wield it."
"In the past, you relied entirely on the System's automated assistance. As long as you expended the necessary energy, the System would construct the spell matrices for you—it was basically an idiot-proof control sche. But now that you have broken free from the System, you have lost all your skills, your stats, and your titles. Right now, you probably couldn't even defeat a slightly athletic pedestrian."
"Unless you start from absolute scratch and learn how to construct god-tier spell matrices by hand, your raw combat prowess will remain permanently stagnant."
"I can teach you."
She spoke with absolute certainty, completely unbothered by the possibility of a refusal. For soone like Shirazawa who had achieved Godhood through a freak accident, trying to blindly figure out the chanics of divinity on his own would take at least a century of grueling, isolated cultivation just to reclaim his original baseline strength.
Unsurprisingly, Shirazawa hesitated.
If his current self were to return to the lower world right now, he would be completely defenseless against the old elf's assassin squads. Any random foot soldier could easily wipe the floor with him. Most critically, his skill was gone. If he was killed now, it was permanent.
D's proposal was entirely a protective asure; she genuinely didn't want him running into an early grave. Being on the receiving end of her soft, considerate care for the very first ti left Shirazawa montarily dazed.
Sensing the subtle shift in his aura, the corners of D's lips curved upward.
Shirazawa frowned, pondering deeply for a long mont before slowly asking, "What about Shiro?"
D blinked her tantalizing, enchanting eyes. "Her ga is still ongoing. With that weapon of hers around, she won't be running into any real trouble."
