The group looked travel-worn, their faces etched with the fatigue of a long, bumpy journey.
After cautiously surveying the area, the bushy-bearded man took out a bone whistle and blew a specific rhythm.
The whistle’s call echoed through the ravine.
A mont later, a sinister voice drifted from the shadows of a corner. "Hyena, why are you a full day late? Have you forgotten the rules?"
As the voice faded, a man wearing leather armor under a wide cloak stepped out of the shadows.
Five or six underlings followed behind him.
They moved with a semblance of casualness, but their steps were steady, hinting at the disciplined air of soldiers or guards disguised as adventurers.
The bushy-bearded man hurriedly bowed and scraped, forcing a fearful yet fawning smile. "Lord Blood Eye, please calm your anger. We had the misfortune of running into a small band of Tidal Fishn yesterday."
"We managed to drive them back after a fight, but two of our brothers were injured and one of the carts broke down. That’s what delayed us for a day. Sir, this job is really too dangerous. You see... could we possibly get a little extra this ti? Just to cover the cost of potions..."
"Tidal Fishn?" Blood Eye frowned slightly upon hearing this.
’It’s true, there have been so recent reports of unusual Tidal Fishman activity near the coast.’
As he pondered, he glanced at the two flatbed carts.

The n stepped forward as ordered, nimbly untying the ropes on the outermost sacks.
However, the instant the mouths of the sacks were pulled open...

Instead of the expected faces of terrified young girls, figures as swift as lightning shot out of the sacks.
These were no human girls!
They were Naga, with the upper bodies of beautiful won and the powerful tails of snakes.
Each of them wielded short blades or piercing daggers.
"SHLICK! SHLICK!"
The sickening thuds of sharp blades sinking into flesh sounded out one after another.
Caught completely off guard, the n who had gone to inspect the sacks were cut down before they could even scream, their blood splashing across the ground.
"Shit! It’s a trap." Blood Eye’s pupils contracted as he shot backward, trying to flee.
But it was too late.
The lead Naga, Serena, whipped her powerful, agile tail, moving so fast she left an afterimage. Her twin blades crossed like a viper’s fangs, cutting off Blood Eye’s escape.
Blood Eye’s reaction was also lightning-fast. The one-handed sword at his waist flew from its sheath, glowing with a faint cyan battle aura, and he barely managed to parry Serena’s twin blades.
"CLANG!"
The ear-piercing shriek of tal on tal rang out as sparks flew.
Blood Eye staggered, horrified. ’This Naga’s strength and speed are far beyond my estimates. She’s tough.’
In the instant Blood Eye was tied down...
The other sacks were sliced open from the inside, one after another.
Large-boned Skeleton Elite Soldiers crawled out of the sacks, pouring forth like a tide.
At the sa ti, from behind the rocks on both sides of the ravine and along the cliff edges, more Skeletons sprouted up like mushrooms after a spring rain.
These Skeletons included ordinary Skeleton Soldiers wielding various weapons, neatly arrayed Skeleton Spearn, cavalry squads riding Skeleton Wolves, and even Skeleton Shamans in feathered cloaks, seated atop Barbaric Beast Skeletons.
The dense, layered ranks of the Undead Corps surged in from all directions like a tide of death, surrounding the entire ravine so tightly that there was no escape.
In that mont, the aura of death in the air grew so thick it was almost tangible.
Blood Eye, who was still locked in a desperate struggle with Serena, felt his breath catch. He was completely stunned by the sudden appearance of the Undead Army.
He knew at once that he had fallen into a death trap.
With extre decisiveness, he tossed his sword to the ground with a CLANG and raised his hands. "I surrender... Don’t kill ! I know a lot of things, I’m willing to talk..."
Seeing this, Serena, who had been fighting him, imdiately halted her attack. In one smooth motion, she rested her twin blades against his neck, guarding against a fake surrender.
Just then, the unhurried clopping of hooves could be heard.
Escorted by a crowd of elite Skeletons, Lynch erged from the Sea of Skulls, riding Red Rabbit.
At his side were three young won, their faces full of excitent and curiosity—none other than Ophelia, Lilith, and Avril.
’It’s been so long since we’ve tead up with our senior for a mission. It’s just as aweso as ever,’ they thought. ’And... Senior, he’s gotten so much stronger!’
Their only slight dissatisfaction was that the enemy had surrendered before they even got a chance to act.
Lilith, in particular, had been planning to launch another huge Fireball.
Following behind them, in addition to two militian, was a figure completely shrouded in a black robe, their graceful form hinting that this was, of course, Lynch’s ntor, Annabella.
At this mont, however, Annabella had completely concealed her aura, appearing as unremarkable as an ordinary person.
Lynch glanced down at Serena from his high vantage point.
Serena understood at once. She twisted the surrendering Blood Eye’s hands behind his back and tied him up securely.
Perhaps because she herself had been tied up so many tis in the past couple of days, her rope-tying skills were now remarkably proficient.
