Xu Yisen amusingly watched Bai Wan Yun’s graceful departing figure, then lifted his leg and walked toward Qin Muni, who was surrounded by journalists.
When the journalists noticed the returning Xu Yisen, they automatically gave way, allowing him to reach Qin Muni.
"Chairman Xu, are you pursuing Miss Qin?"
"Do the two of you plan to remarry?"
Neither of them answered the reporters’ questions, just smiled at the cara, walking forward without a word.
After shaking off the pesky journalists, Xu Yisen glanced at Qin Muni with a placid expression, a gentle smile hidden at the corner of his mouth, and asked softly, "I thought you wouldn’t co."
"Seeing how sincerely you invited , I felt it would be a bit unfair not to show my face."
Xu Yisen nodded in sudden realization, "Ah, so you ca for , not to see the baby."
Qin Muni rolled her eyes at the brilliantly smiling yet sowhat smug Xu Yisen beside her, finding herself speechless due to his teasing.
She shifted her gaze, not giving Xu Yisen the chance to continue poking fun at her, naturally changing the topic, "How’s the consideration on the investnt matter?"
"Didn’t expect you to be so concerned about my affairs, huh?"
Qin Muni’s steps suddenly halted. Once again speechless, she glanced sideways at the mischievous Xu Yisen, "Xu Yisen, did you forget to take your ds this morning?"
Her disdainful words left Xu Yisen chuckling softly, his thin lips curling into a free-spirited smile. He squinted mischievously, one hand in his suit pants pocket, the other hanging down at his side, slightly leaning in closer to Qin Muni’s face.
In the blink of an eye, Xu Yisen’s face suddenly enlarged before her, causing Qin Muni’s breath to hitch lightly.
"Munni."
A gentle call, like a wisp of floral fragrance dissolving in the spring breeze, an intoxicating scent gradually enveloping the silent air.
The closeness between them was such that when he spoke, the warm breath from his lips scattered onto Qin Muni’s fair cheeks, causing a subtle blush to rise unbidden.
Qin Muni awkwardly averted her gaze, taking a small step back, "Just say what you have to say."
Xu Yisen extended the hand hanging by his side and gently held Qin Muni’s hand.
Qin Muni stared at his actions in confusion, then watched as he withdrew the hand from his suit pants pocket, slowly opening it to reveal a ticulously crafted bracelet lying in his palm, adorned with five red chalcedony-carved four-leaf clovers.
While seriously attaching the bracelet to Qin Muni’s wrist, he spoke in a warm tone, "It’s the Van Cleef & Arpels you like. Happened to see it at the mall yesterday, thought you’d certainly like it and bought it."
The red chalcedony shimred bright and lustrous, the pure radiance neither dull nor overly vibrant, accentuating Qin Muni’s already beautiful hand, making it appear even more delicate and fair.
Qin Muni slightly lifted her eyelids, noticing the unwitting indulgence reflected in Xu Yisen’s brow as he spoke.
She pursed her red lips, imdiately withdrawing her hand after Xu Yisen finished fastening the bracelet and nodded in satisfaction.
"Truly beautiful, it certainly suits you."
Qin Muni pouted, "Yisen, you seem a bit strange today."
"How so?"
"First gifting sothing, then complinting , are you asking for sothing?" She lightly raised an eyebrow, looking at Xu Yisen with a hint of vigilance in her eyes.
Evidently, Xu Yisen’s actions in her eyes were akin to a weasel wishing chickens a Happy New Year, surely with ulterior motives.
