Her reaction left Xu Yisen feeling half amused and half exasperated. He asked helplessly, "Can’t I just simply want to flirt with you?"

She glanced up and glared at Xu Yisen with dissatisfaction, little knowing that her slightly sulky starry eyes appeared to him as a soulful enchantnt that stirred his heart with longing.
Qin Muni ignored him further and turned to walk towards Bai Qigong’s seat.
Bai Qigong was holding his newborn great-grandson, entertaining him, as guests who ca to offer their congratulations stepped forward one by one to hand the little one a red envelope, praise him a bit, and congratulate Bai Qigong on having a new great-grandson before leaving.
"Seventh Master, congratulations on your new great-grandson." Qin Muni walked up to Bai Qigong and bent slightly forward, presenting a flower-like smile to the little one in Bai Qigong’s arms.
The little one seed to sense her friendliness and gave her a wide smile in return.
"Munni girl, you’ve co huh."
"Hmm." Qin Muni took out a large red envelope that she had prepared from her handbag. "This is a small token for the baby."
Chen Qigong accepted the red envelope and handed it to the respectful butler standing behind him, "Hmm, thank you. You and Yisen should also put in so effort, haha."
Qin Muni was rendered sowhat speechless by Chen Qigong’s hearty laughter and quietly reminded him, "Seventh Master, Yisen and I have already divorced."
"Ah, aren’t couples ant to bicker at the bedside and make up at the pillowhead. If Yisen makes you upset, just teach him a lesson, hurry up and remarry."
Before Qin Muni could respond, a warm voice beside her spoke up faster than she could.
"Seventh Master, I heed your guidance; we’ll remarry soon." With that, he handed the red envelope he’d prepared to the butler standing behind Bai Qigong.
"Haha, young man, sweet talk Munni girl a bit more."
"I will."
"Your parents are waiting to hold a grandson, put so effort into that."
"I will."
"You’re complaining I nag too much, giving the brush-off again."
"I wouldn’t dare."
"Look at you, no wonder Munni girl finds you annoying. Alright, off you go, don’t stand here getting in my way."
Seeing Bai Qigong feign impatience and wave him away, yet there was an intentional smile in his eyes, more like he was saying—go on, hurry and appease your wife.
Xu Yisen’s lips twitched with a hint of a smile as he bowed slightly to Bai Qigong respectfully, "Congratulations on your new great-grandson."
"You rascal, I’m still waiting to hold your son."
"Munni and I will work hard."
Suddenly being nad, Qin Muni widened her eyes in disbelief and looked at Xu Yisen.
What did he just say? That he and she would work hard? Work hard at what? Having a baby? What a joke!
Feeling Qin Muni’s cautionary gaze on him, Xu Yisen no longer chatted idly with Bai Qigong and casually took Qin Muni by the hand and walked away.
Qin Muni struggled a couple of tis, but Xu Yisen tightly grasped her hand, not giving her any room to break free.
"Let go."
"The floor is slippery, wearing high heels is dangerous."
Qin Muni instinctively looked down at the spotless floor, her lips involuntarily twitching.
"If you’re going to make up an excuse, at least make it believable."
"Hmm, it’s getting cold, I’m holding your hand to keep you warm."
"...!"
With the corner of his eye catching Qin Muni’s helpless expression, Xu Yisen couldn’t help but curl his lips slightly, his elegant features gently spreading a warm smile.
"Let’s go say hi to Mom and Dad, they’ve been talking about wanting to see you lately."
