Qin Muni knew he was worried that being alone would eventually lead to an emotional breakdown, so she didn’t refuse his proposal. She stood up, returned to the room, took a set of pajamas and underwear from the suitcase, quickly showered in the bathroom, then went back to the room and collapsed on the bed to catch up on sleep.
After taking a midnight flight abroad, nearly seventeen hours of travel, and staying awake due to her constant unease, Qin Muni finally felt tired.

With her arms crossed over her chest, Qin Muni leisurely leaned against the door fra, watching Xu Yisen as he sat seriously on the sofa.
His eyes were deep like the night, and his elegantly lined lips were pressed into a straight line. The crystal lights on the ceiling shone softly on him, creating an unparalleled air of elegance.
He had already discarded his tie next to the sofa and rolled up his shirt sleeves from the wrists, revealing his cleanly defined arms.
Xu Yisen had also taken a night flight from France to New York, sleeping less than five hours on the plane, and now, after dealing with work on the computer for such a long ti, he was already a bit exhausted.
He yawned and placed the laptop beside him, intending to get up and brew another cup of coffee when he caught a glimpse of Qin Muni, who had unknowingly awakened.

Xu Yisen nodded, picked up his phone, and sent a text ssage to Tang Haoliang, listing a few Sichuan dishes that Qin Muni liked and instructed him to order the food to her room.
After putting down his phone, he rubbed his slightly aching temples, then opened his thin lips and asked, "Did you see your mother’s body today?"
The smile on Qin Muni’s face paused slightly, "Mmm."
She responded softly, her smile tinged with bitterness and helplessness, "That awful woman left without saying goodbye again."
When she left in a hurry during childhood, she even forgot to say goodbye to her young self and left her and her father in their rented little apartnt.
