He stood up and walked to Qin Muni, gently pulling the wounded and aggrieved her into his arms, softly patting her back as if comforting an uneasy baby.
"Munni, if you want to cry, just cry, I’m here."
After hearing Xu Yisen’s words, Qin Muni finally let go of her long-held emotions, allowing tears to fall freely from her eyes, soaking the white shirt at Xu Yisen’s waist.
"Yisen, I feel so wronged." Her voice was filled with sadness.
She thought she hated the woman who abandoned her for over a decade, who gave birth to her but didn’t raise her. Yet, upon hearing the news of her passing, she felt a sense of despair as if the sky had fallen.
Zhao Yaru was her only blood relative in this world, and now, even Zhao Yaru has left, leaving her truly... feeling wronged.
"If you feel wronged, just say it, don’t keep it in your heart."
Qin Muni’s quiet sobbing evolved into a wailing cry. In less than a year, she had lost both her parents. Although she had grown up, she still felt an overwhelming feeling of being an orphan.
With a breakdown in her emotions, she opened up, "I have no mom and dad now."
Since childhood, she had harbored so resentnt towards Zhao Yaru. Throughout the years, they hadn’t kept in touch, but at least Qin Muni knew that the woman who loved to indulge herself must be living a secretly enjoyable life sowhere.
The sudden news of her passing left Qin Muni feeling empty inside, with no outlet for the grievances and resentnts built up over the years because of her.

Xu Yisen didn’t want Qin Muni to feel that with her parents’ passing, she was completely without support.
Because he and everyone in the Xu Family genuinely wanted to offer her the warmth of a family.
Qin Muni didn’t reply, holding onto Xu Yisen’s waist and crying for a long ti before slowly stopping her sobbing.
With a hoarse voice, she whispered, "Thank you."
Xu Yisen lovingly patted her head, "Silly girl."
His shirt, wet from Qin Muni’s tears, made her lift her tear-stained eyes with a touch of embarrassnt, "I cried all over your shirt."
Xu Yisen nodded, casually replying, "I’ll just go back to my room and change later."
Just as he said this, a knock at the door echoed in their ears.
"It should be Secretary Tang bringing the takeaway, I’ll go open the door."
"Mm."
Xu Yisen walked to the door and, looking through the peephole, saw Tang Haoliang standing outside. He opened the door and accepted the takeaway Tang Haoliang had bought, instructing, "You should rest early. I’ve mostly handled the project matters; what’s left can be dealt with tomorrow."
"Yes, Chairman, you should rest early too. Please also say hello to Miss Qin for ."
"Alright."
Xu Yisen carried the takeaway back to the living room, where Qin Muni had gotten up to the bathroom to wash away her tear-stained face.
When she returned from the bathroom to the living room, Xu Yisen had already set the takeaway nicely on the coffee table.
"Secretary Tang asked to say hello to you."
"Mm, okay."
Qin Muni sat down on the sofa in front of the coffee table, accepted the chopsticks Xu Yisen handed her, and asked, "Did you get a chance to explore while you were in France these few days?"
"No, I was busy the whole ti. I initially planned to visit that museum we went to last ti but didn’t have the ti."
"Then let’s visit together next ti there’s an opportunity."
