After placing the violin in its case, Munni walked over and sat next to Xu Yisen, leaning on his shoulder. She then teased, "The last ti, both tis we married, we had the sa partner. It’s quite unique."
"It definitely has to be the sa partner, showing that we love each other so much that we need to get married twice to express it."
His peculiar logic made Munni a bit speechless, "This way of expressing love is a bit unusual."
"The way might be strange, but as long as the feelings are profound, that’s all that matters."
Munni smiled softly, lifted her head to plant a kiss on Xu Yisen’s cheek, and whispered in his ear, "Xu Yisen, I love you."
As she confessed, her warm breath completely enveloped Xu Yisen’s ear, making his ear feel ticklish and numb.
The tender confession fell like petals into Xu Yisen’s heart, gently stirred by the breeze, arousing soft ripples around his heart.
Xu Yisen’s heart started bounding like a fawn, just because of Munni’s simple six words.
"Mrs. Xu, I love you too."
Xu Yisen took Munni’s hand, lifted it to his lips, and gently kissed the back of her hand.
Munni leaned her head back on his shoulder, feeling as sweet inside as accidentally spilling a jar of honey, spreading sweetness everywhere.
Suddenly, the phone Munni had placed on the coffee table rang, interrupting the warm atmosphere between them.
She leaned over, reached for the phone on the table, and checked the caller ID. It was an unsaved number, but Munni recognized it.
After hesitating for two seconds, she swiped the screen and answered the call, "Hello."
"Hello, Miss Qin. I’m Wang Shouyong, Miss Xia Yuge’s lawyer."
"What’s going on?"
Munni’s tone was sowhat cold, clearly not thrilled about the call.
She rembered that the last ti before hanging up, Xia Yuge’s lawyer vaguely threatened her.
"Miss Xia would like to et you."
"I thought we made everything clear the last ti we t."
The words subtly declined Wang Shouyong’s request.
"Miss Qin, please et Miss Xia just once. Her current situation is like walking on thin ice..."
Before Wang Shouyong could finish speaking, Munni interrupted him, "So what?"
"So, we need your help."
Munni slightly curled her lip, forming a mocking smile, finding Wang Shouyong’s request sowhat absurd, "Why should I?"
The person on the other end paused for a few seconds before speaking again: "Miss Qin, I know neither Miss Xia nor I have enough reason to ask you, but Miss Xia’s current situation is really bad. We sincerely hope you can help her get through this crisis."
"I’m busy, hanging up now."
Before hanging up, Munni heard Wang Shouyong’s voice on the other end, sounding sowhat cold: "Miss Qin, Miss Xia’s predicant is entirely due to your indirect actions. Are you truly going to stand by and do nothing?"
Munni didn’t respond to him and directly hung up the phone.
Xu Yisen noticed the faint coldness spreading between her brows and knew that Wang Shouyong’s last words before hanging up had upset Munni.
Indeed, Munni had so indirect responsibility for Xia Yuge’s current predicant today.
But the greater responsibility lies with Xia Yuge herself. If she hadn’t maliciously tried to kill Munni, leading to the car accident involving Munni and Xu Yisen, Munni would not have acted against her.
