By the ti the al was finished, Grandpa Bo had just finished wiping his mouth and stood up when Xia Siyu suddenly "whoosh"—sprung to her feet. All eyes at the table instantly turned to her. Bo Yan also got up with her. "Grandpa, tonight is the family reunion dinner. Siyu is happy and drank a bit too much. I’ll take her upstairs to rest for a while."
Grandpa Bo nodded, then looked at Xia Youbiao. "Dad, we’ll head back and rest now."
All Xia Youbiao cared about was Xia Siyu. "Ah, okay. If she drank too much, she’ll probably need soone to look after her later..."

Without bothering about the others at the table, he bent down, picked her up in his arms, and turned to leave.

Bo Yan had only just turned around when Xia Siyu tugged on the corner of his shirt. Bo Yan turned back to find Xia Siyu leaning lazily against the headboard. She hooked his shirt with her pinky finger, her eyes gleaming. "I won’t let you go~"
Normally she was bold and brash, but when she softened like this, it was truly... impossible to resist. Bo Yan’s gaze darkened, his Adam’s apple rolled. Outside, a servant ca upstairs. "Young Master Bo."
Bo Yan didn’t even turn his head, his voice a little hoarse. "Close the door."
This was a big house. Even during the day, there was no concern about others snooping around, nor was there any need to draw the curtains or anything. His patience was already wearing thin, and now Xia Siyu had to fan the flas. Seeing him frozen in place, she wasn’t satisfied with just reaching for him with her hand. She stretched out her leg, her toes tracing a teasing path from the back of his knee all the way upward, upward.
Bo Yan maintained his composure even as her mischievous toes brushed against a rather sensitive area. His expression was calm, though his voice dropped a few notes. "I’m going to get an umbrella."
There wasn’t any stored in this room. The ones they’d brought to the island were locked in a suitcase. The servants had brought the suitcase upstairs earlier during dinner and placed it near the bedroom door, but he’d have to step back to retrieve it and be properly prepared.
But the mont he moved back an inch, Xia Siyu’s toes instantly pressed against that very spot, applying a gentle push.
Even with all of Bo Yan’s self-restraint, it vanished in an instant. When he approached her again, his face remained expressionless, but he gently pried her playful toes away. "You’re not allowed to... drink like this again next ti!"
Still giggling, Xia Siyu clung to his neck, pulling him closer, and whispered softly in his ear, "Because it’s you."

Those four simple words were warr and sweeter than any of the love confessions Bo Yan had ever made to her before. Bo Yan lowered his head and kissed her forehead lightly. "So am I."
He wouldn’t forget. Earlier, when they got ho, it was Xia Siyu who stood up for him, openly confronting the rude remarks of his uncle and cousin from across the table.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t fight back—he just didn’t want to bother. But she had jumped in without hesitation, simply because they were talking about him.
