Chapter 1039: Chapter 1030: Reunion Banquet (6)
“Honey.”
Xia Siyu looked up and blinked at him.
Bo Yan lowered his head, kissed her on the eyes again, and said, “You’re so beautiful.”
Xia Siyu was even happier; she wrapped her arms around Bo Yan’s neck and planted a playful kiss on his chin. “My husband is the most handso!”
Well, a little post-al exercise helps with digestion.
A lovely, idyllic afternoon.
**
That afternoon, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan relaxed until four o’clock. Of course, they took a short nap in between, tidied up, took a shower, and changed into fresh clothes.
Fortunately, being celebrities, the two of them always traveled light on other things, but they could never skimp on outfits. After a nap followed by showering and changing, they felt refreshed. The only annoyance was the lack of ergency dication here, though it wasn’t urgent – there was so at ho.
By the ti they were dressed, it wasn’t early anymore, so the pair prepared to head back ho. Tomorrow morning, they’d have to wake up at six. Even during the New Year, work remained a priority. They packed up their belongings, called for the servant to move the luggage downstairs, and got ready to say goodbye.
Downstairs, the Xia Family was still there. Mrs. Tong was keeping Xia Sicai company, while on the other side sat Bo Family’s n alongside Xia Youbiao and Xia Ju’an.
Xia Siyu asked directly, “You’re still here?”
Truthfully, Xia Youbiao had stayed on purpose to wait for her. She hadn’t co down yet, and he didn’t feel like leaving either. Of course, staying also ant he could chat more about partnerships with Old Master Bo or spend ti with Xia Sicai.
Perhaps due to her pregnancy, Xia Sicai, who was always composed, had been clinging to her father coquettishly all afternoon. After all, Xia Sicai was his daughter, and now she was expecting a child. Watching her act spoiled made him quite happy.
Yet, when Xia Siyu ca downstairs, Xia Youbiao’s gaze imdiately turned to his younger daughter.
Xia Siyu had grown up away from him and wasn’t raised under his watchful eye. Being the child of a woman he loved, he naturally doted on her more. On top of that, Xia Siyu was rebellious and frequently perford risky stunts, which only made him worry further.
Now that he had a rare chance to nd his relationship with her, he certainly hoped they could grow closer.
However, when Xia Sicai noticed her father’s gaze shift to Xia Siyu, a small pang of discontent stirred in her heart. She didn’t express it openly but instead uttered a slight “Hmph,” saying, “This baby—seems like it just kicked again.”
“Really?” Bo Yi lit up with excitent and imdiately stepped closer. Luckily, the baby cooperated perfectly, moving inside again. Bo Yi nodded eagerly, “It moved! It’s saying hello to !”
The words imdiately drew everyone’s attention, including Xia Ju’an, who had been sitting off to the side. Even he couldn’t help but lean forward with interest.
Mrs. Tong chuckled and said, “It’s only five months now. You’ll feel the baby moving more often later. But since this is the Bo Family’s first child of the next generation, it’s understandable that you two might lack experience.”
Though she talked about the baby, her tone was obviously directed toward the others, boasting.
Bo Yan and Xia Siyu heard her but didn’t bother to respond. Instead, they turned to Old Master Bo and said, “Grandpa, we still have work later, so we won’t stay for dinner. During New Year, please take care of your health. Happy holidays.”
In fact, Old Master Bo had many things he still wanted to say to Bo Yan. However, it was too late—once he chose Bo Yi, it essentially ant he had given up on this grandson. That was his decision, and it couldn’t be blad on anyone else.
