Just as the two were about to get close, the lights above flickered, and the world quickly regained its brightness.

These days, power supply shortages are rare. As long as it’s not rationing, any malfunction is usually quickly fixed.

Xia Siyu’s ankle was still being held by Bo Yan’s hand. He gently released it and helped her tidy her hair—when the power went out earlier, the air conditioning also stopped, and sweat had caused her hair to cling to her face, exuding a unique allure.

He chuckled and said, "...This issue should be considered at length in the future."

Although it was quite thrilling, he didn’t have the habit of performing in front of the cara crew. A few words were fine, but if things got real and accidentally captured, it would transcend entertainnt news and beco societal news.

Just as he was about to get up, Xia Siyu’s toes were still hooked on his pants. Bo Yan looked down, and she winked at him with an expression clearly asking: Shall we continue?

Xia Siyu is always bold. Besides, the caras had been unplugged, and the microphones turned off. This is what they call "hidden in plain sight." She soon had to join a film crew, and Bo Yan had tasks too—no blaming her if she hadn’t warned him.

Bo Yan looked at her, she looked back at him, and soon Xia Siyu withdrew her leg—not out of retreat, but because her foot was getting tired from being stretched straight.

Originally, Bo Yan didn’t have such intentions, but as Xia Siyu pulled her leg back, his feelings were stirred again. Just as he was about to approach her, his phone suddenly rang, giving him a jolt that echoed sharply in the vacant living room.

But Bo Yan didn’t move; neither did Xia Siyu. His phone kept vibrating. He didn’t answer, and it soon stopped. The tension between them hadn’t dissipated when Xia Siyu’s phone started ringing. She answered, but her eyes stayed fixed on Bo Yan: "Did the power co back? How co the cara in the living room seems to have an issue?"

Xia Siyu responded with an "Oh", "I accidentally spilled sothing in the living room earlier, it’s a bit ssy, worried it would look bad on cara, so I turned it off."

"Is it okay, Ms. Xia?"

Xia Siyu looked at Bo Yan, and even when shaking her head, her movents were exceptionally chanical: "It’s fine."

"That’s good, that’s good. Today caught us off guard with the sudden power outage, so let’s wrap filming for today."

Xia Siyu nodded: "Okay."

After thinking for a bit, she recalled sothing: "So the caras inside, can we turn them off while we’re resting?"

"Of course." This room was only occupied by the two of them, with the crew living nearby; there were no other caran inside.

After all, it’s just a small two-bedroom apartnt, barely sixty square ters. Adding more photographers would make it unlivable.

Moreover, the caras inside involve privacy; changing clothes, showering, resting, making private calls—these things couldn’t be shared with outsiders.

"And the microphones..."

"I turned them off, since we’re not filming anymore. I’ll bring them tomorrow for the shoot." Xia Siyu finished speaking and hung up the phone, but her eyes stayed on Bo Yan.

Bo Yan was looking at her as well, both staring at each other, locked in a gaze. Xia Siyu asked, "Why are you looking at ?"

Bo Yan nodded: "You’re beautiful."

Xia Siyu said, "I’m going to rest."

Bo Yan nodded too: "I’ll accompany you."

Xia Siyu pointed her finger to the right side: "My room is to the right." She then pointed to the other side: "Yours is to the left."

How to accompany when they’re not on the sa side.

Bo Yan said, "No worries, I’m kind. I’ll escort you."

They liked playing the ga of advancing and retreating together. Actually, Bo Yan didn’t necessarily want to do anything mischievous with her, he just didn’t want to part from her.

Xia Siyu shook her head: "Thank you, but it’s not necessary."

"Hey, it’s necessary. You’re a girl, alone outside, it’s really dangerous. What if you encounter so villain?" Bo Yan watched her get up, his eyes remained glued to her face.

"I think you’re the villain; you’re my danger."

Bo Yan earnestly replied, "Have you seen a villain as handso as I am?"

He originally never spoke like this, nor praised his own looks. Yet Xia Siyu always had "looks admiration" on her lips, not only complinting her own beauty but also saying he was handso. Whenever she quarreled with him, she would yell, "If you weren’t handso, I’d have punched your face ages ago." She indeed never punched his face; she went after his parts.

There’s a saying called "husband-wife resemblance", aning the longer couples spend together, the more they start to look alike. Bo Yan and Xia Siyu were like this. Not in appearance, but their manner of speaking began to rge. Bo Yan began saying playful words he never used before, and Xia Siyu started getting scholarly.

But when Bo Yan unexpectedly said this, Xia Siyu couldn’t help but laugh: "Pfft."

Although she wore no makeup today, her skin was healthy. After an afternoon nap, she replenished her energy. There was no need for heavy makeup, this was naturally radiant.

Her laugh disrupted the atmosphere. Bo Yan also chuckled, as if the air began to move, the previously hidden currents slowly blown away.

Bo Yan said, "Then rest early. We only have eighty dollars tomorrow and the day after, got to spend wisely."

Xia Siyu nodded: "I don’t want the director team ordering us around. Not going to spoil their bad habits."

When they turned back, they restored the living room’s caras.

The mont the director connected, he saw Xia Siyu and Bo Yan both sweaty, indeed looking quite disheveled. Especially since Bo Yan hadn’t removed his makeup like Xia Siyu had, albeit he didn’t have thick makeup, sweat had caused it to smudge, staining his clothes, accurately reflecting Xia Siyu’s statent of "the power outage made things chaotic."

Bo Yan had thoroughly unplugged everything, first restoring the living room, then fixing the balcony. At last, only a cara in the corridor wasn’t reinstalled.

But Xia Siyu took the chance to tease, "Why not continue? You hesitated just now, didn’t you?"

This is soone who knows you can’t act, so they deliberately provoke you.

If he decided to force it, she could switch faces faster than anyone else.

Bo Yan, accustod to being with her, turned back to glance at the filming angle.

From the living room turning into the corridor, there’s a two-ter stretch leading to the two bedrooms. And the bedroom doors were closed, from their current direction, the cara couldn’t capture them. He took a step forward, reached out to wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her closer: "Alright, how do you want to continue? Learn a little art?"

Xia Siyu wasn’t fazed, reached up to wrap an arm around his neck, provocatively saying, "I’ve graduated already, no need to learn anymore, teacher."
