"Are you planning to sell out?" Sienna Johnson asked, her voice chillingly calm. Her cold eyes fixed on lanie Carpenter, who looked flustered, her petty sches written all over her face.
"Besides, why should I help you?"
She hated lanie Carpenter as much as she hated Elliot Carpenter!
If it hadn’t been for those two, Adrian Desmond wouldn’t be in the intensive care unit now, hovering between life and death. Adrian had done so much for them, but what had they done for him? One used their status as an elder to pressure him, while the other used a marriage contract to coerce him... Sienna felt it was so unfair to Adrian.
"It’s just a visit. It’s not like you’ll lose anything!" lanie Carpenter said nonchalantly.
"It’s easy for you to say," Sienna replied calmly. "Everyone knows what would happen if I went. Of course, I’d lose sothing. If I go, I probably won’t even make it back."
"If you really can’t co back, it’s your own fault. Back then, if you hadn’t been so promiscuous and flirtatious, you wouldn’t have gotten involved with soone like Xavier Young. You brought this trouble on yourself, so you must be the one to clean it up," lanie Carpenter said self-righteously, her tone implying Sienna deserved to die.
It was only because her pregnancy was unstable, and she couldn’t risk getting agitated, that Sienna refrained. Otherwise, she would have already marched over and slapped lanie. That woman owed her! She should be the one making this sacrifice!
"What nonsense are you spouting! If you hadn’t provoked Xavier Young in the first place, would he have captured your father?" Walter Klein defended Sienna.
"Fine! I promise to save Elliot Carpenter!" Sienna suddenly agreed.
Not only was Walter shocked, but lanie also hadn’t expected her to actually agree. After all, they all knew perfectly well what Xavier Young’s intentions toward Sienna were.
"R-Really? You’re not lying to ?" lanie stamred.
"But we’ll have to wait a few days. I’ve had so complications with my pregnancy, and I can’t be discharged from the hospital in my current state," Sienna replied indifferently.
lanie pressed eagerly, "How many days?"
"Go ask the doctor!"
Sienna had completely lost her appetite. She put down the bowl she was holding and lay down, turning her back as if unwilling to engage with anyone.
lanie’s goal was achieved, and joy she couldn’t conceal spread across her face. "I’ll hold you to your word! You can’t go back on it!"

"Then you just focus on getting better. I’ll go inform Xavier Young," lanie Carpenter said, then left in high spirits.
lanie was simple-minded; her little plots were transparent. How could Sienna not see through them?
Sienna found it rather amusing. Just a pitiful woman, really, she thought.
Walter was completely baffled by Sienna’s decision. "Madam, what are you thinking? You clearly know Xavier Young has ulterior motives concerning you... If you go, will you still be able to..." he asked.
Sienna watched a little bird chirping on the windowsill. "Since Elliot Carpenter is so important in Adrian’s eyes that he’d risk his own life to save him... it shows that in Adrian’s heart, his uncle is more important than anyone else," she said. "If I go see Xavier Young and rescue Adrian’s dear uncle, Adrian would surely want that too."
Walter’s expression grew grave. "You know what Xavier Young wants you to do!"
Back then, everyone on the Unnad Island knew about Xavier Young’s infatuation with Sienna. His actions had even led Adrian Desmond to expel him and his brother from the Unnad Island. Although Sienna might have led him on, if Xavier Young had maintained his own integrity, he wouldn’t have fallen for her sche. In matters like these, it takes two to tango. Sienna had her faults, but Xavier Young was no saint either.
This ti, Xavier Young was using Elliot Carpenter as leverage to force Sienna to et him. It certainly wouldn’t be for a simple chat...
"Are you really going to do... that?" Walter asked.
"Do what?"
"Madam, you’re so intelligent; you must understand what I an."
Sienna removed the ring from her ring finger. It had been there for so long that a faint indentation remained.
"...If he’s interested in a pregnant woman like , then to save Elliot Carpenter’s life, I’m willing to let him sleep with once!" Sienna said, her tone surprisingly nonchalant.
"Madam, if Sixth Master finds out, he’ll be furious enough to kill soone!" Walter was terrified by Sienna’s outrageous idea.
Adrian Desmond’s possessiveness was extrely strong. If another man so much as looked at Sienna a few extra tis, Adrian was capable of gouging their eyes out. If he were to find out about Xavier Young and Sienna...
Walter didn’t dare to imagine it.
"So what? I’m practically dying of anger because of him too!" Sienna retorted.
Walter fell silent. "..."
"One truly doesn’t understand until they’ve felt the pain cut to their own skin!"
If he really wakes up, I trust he’ll deeply comprehend how I feel today.
"Madam, please, let’s wait for Sixth Master to wake up. Let him figure out a solution," Walter pleaded.
But Sienna’s mind was made up. "I’ve decided!"

lanie Carpenter truly is an interesting person, Sienna mused. Very, very interesting.
"Actually, I find you rather cute," Sienna said to lanie.
For the past two days, to help Sienna recover quickly so she could et Xavier Young, lanie had transford from a rival in love to a personal attendant, serving tea, pouring water, and even personally making soups and als for her.
"Would you like another bowl?"
"Of course. This soup has been simred perfectly; you must have spent a lot of ti on it, right?"
"I simred it for three hours."
Sienna chuckled. Her gaze seed to pierce through lanie’s sullied heart, leaving her feeling completely exposed.
"You’ve gone to a lot of trouble!" Sienna said, calmly accepting lanie’s ministrations.
She was helping lanie save Elliot Carpenter; this was sothing lanie owed her. So, she felt perfectly justified in enjoying this service.
"It’s a bit too salty; use less next ti... Also, I don’t like overly greasy food, but don’t make it too bland either..."
lanie gritted her teeth, desperately wanting to argue back, but she held her tongue and swallowed her frustration.
"Those small stead buns were quite good. Bring two more..."
Sienna ordered lanie around without any reservations, and lanie, seemingly devoid of any temper, complied with every demand.
Sienna crossed her arms, her gaze fixed intently on lanie. With an air of superiority, she asked, "You like Adrian Desmond that much?"
"Don’t you like him?"
"Of course, I do. So much so that I’m willing to sleep with Xavier Young for his sake," Sienna stated bluntly, directly bringing up such a matter.
"If you sleep with Xavier Young, Sixth Brother... he won’t love you anymore..."
A pang shot through Sienna’s heart. She lowered her eyes, the light within them concealed. Her lips pressed into a thin line. When she looked up again, however, she was smiling.
