Damian Knight looked at the ti; it was already three in the morning.
What is the purpose of calling him at this hour?
Damian Knight answered the phone, frowning, and asked in a low voice without emotion, "What’s up?"
Susan Stone’s displeased voice ca through the phone: "Didn’t I ask you to co ho early tonight? I’ve been dragging Mrs. Grant to play mahjong until now, why aren’t you back yet?"
Damian Knight replied casually, "I had a dinner eting, drank a bit, staying at the hotel, not coming back."
Susan Stone’s voice imdiately rose a few pitches: "Dinner eting? Don’t you dare bring any random woman back from it! I think the Grant family’s eldest daughter has good character and manners, her looks are decent too. Their family is leaving for Rivain tomorrow, get back here and et her now!"
Damian Knight replied with so impatience: "I have no plans to marry in the next few years, you don’t need to introduce won to ."
Susan Stone got anxious: "How can you say such a thing? What do you an by no plans to marry? I’m not asking you to get married imdiately, just suggesting you get to know her. Aren’t you spending all your ti either working or hanging out with the young n from those three families? They keep changing girlfriends, but you?"
"I’ll handle it myself," Damian Knight said indifferently.
Susan Stone clicked her tongue and said: "A couple of years ago, I left it all to you to handle, and what happened? I organized so many banquets for you, yet you weren’t interested in any of them. How can you expect not to be anxious? You know very well that the conglorate isn’t stable right now, only when you give a grandson early can it really settle down."
"I won’t let anything disrupt the internal affairs, don’t worry."
"I... there are so things I can’t tell you, but you must keep this in mind and get married soon."
Feeling agitated, Damian Knight’s eyes inadvertently fell on Sumr Monroe.
"Don’t stay silent, if you don’t choose soone yourself, then I will..." Susan Stone’s words were interrupted by a voice from the other end: "Mrs. Knight, it’s your turn to be the dealer, done in the restroom or not?"
"Coming, coming..." Susan Stone lowered her voice again and said, "Did you hear that? Get back ho right away!"
"I can’t go ho today."
"What? How can you not go ho? I’m holding people up here, you must co back no matter what!"
"I said, I can’t go ho. I’m out with your future daughter-in-law."
"What?!" Susan Stone exclaid in shock, raising her voice.
Tired of speaking further, Damian Knight directly pressed the button to end the call.
He walked over to Sumr Monroe, his eyes dark and ambiguous.
If Sumr Monroe was willing for him to offer himself, and the family was pressuring him to get married, then he might as well choose Sumr.
After all, marrying anyone would be marrying soone, why not choose one who seems relatively pleasing to the eye?
...
Ti slowly passed by, and before he knew it, the sky was beginning to brighten.
Sumr Monroe was awakened by the sound of knocking at the door.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Damian Knight’s face lying in the palm of her hand, as he was sound asleep by her bedside.
Perhaps hearing the knocking, Damian Knight shifted his head slightly, prompting Sumr Monroe to quickly withdraw her hand, whispering a reminder, "Soone’s knocking at the door."
"Hmm..."
Damian Knight’s voice, lazy and magnetic freshly woken, casually got up and walked to the door to open it.
"Dami..."
Isaac Ross stepped inside, holding two report slips in his hand.
