"Thank you..." she said, her voice tinged with a sob.
"Why are you crying?" Damian Knight stood up uneasily, taking a tissue to wipe her tears.
Sumr Monroe shook her head: "I’m not crying, I’m... happy. Thank you."
Damian Knight sighed in frustration, saying: "If I’d known it would make you cry, I wouldn’t have done all this."
All he wanted to see was Sumr Monroe’s smile, not her tears.
