He appeared hesitant, so Sumr catered to his vanity and spoke again, "Even if Aunt embarrassed you, you and Aunt are husband and wife, and there’s nothing that can’t be resolved between a couple. The most important thing is to cure Aunt’s illness first. We might find her much better now?"
Only then did Henry Stanton nod, "Since there’s nothing else this afternoon, let’s head out in a bit."
Sumr nodded with a smile.
She reckoned that Stella Monroe should have regained her senses by now and was curious to see Stella’s expression upon seeing her.

However, sitting alone in a car with Henry Stanton felt suffocating for her, so she simply opened all the windows and leaned her head against one of them to get so fresh air.
Yet, seeing her like this, Henry Stanton chuckled, "You still look exactly the sa as you did when you were a child."
Sumr raised an eyebrow as Henry Stanton continued, "When you were young, every ti I took you out, you liked to put your head up against the car window. Then I scared you with a story about a mischievous kid who stuck his whole head out of the window and ended up losing his head when a car ca from the opposite direction. At this point, Henry Stanton glanced at her, with a hint of regret, saying, "But you don’t rember anything from back then."
Sumr responded with a "hmm," as Henry Stanton asked again, "Can’t you rember anything from before?"
Upon hearing this, a wary look imdiately surfaced in Sumr’s eyes.
Asking once might genuinely be out of regret, but asking the sa thing twice ant Henry Stanton had ulterior motives.
He was probing her!
It seed that over these past few days, Henry Stanton’s suspicions had yet to dissipate.

Sumr turned her head to look at Henry Stanton, her expression now replaced with sadness and regret.
She shook her head and said, "I don’t rember... I really want to recall, but I can’t rember anything. I can’t even rember what Mom looked like..."
She added, "I tried finding Mom’s photos but could only search online. Dad, do you have any photos of Mom?"
Henry Stanton’s grip on the steering wheel tightened as he cleared his throat and said, "No... your mom never liked taking photos, and back then, phones weren’t as advanced as they are today. Apart from her portrait, there are no other photos left."
