Ryder Quinn had already arrived, and he had seen the entire sequence of events clearly.
He curled his lips into a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, gave a soft "oh," and said, "Well, you can relax, it can’t bite you anymore."
Coralie Hughes turned even paler.
Yes, the puppy couldn’t bite her anymore, because Ryder Quinn had shot it dead!

He shrugged and said, "I heard that the Stanton Family brought back a beauty, and seeing her today, she is indeed pretty."
Stella Monroe’s face darkened, and beside her, Coralie Hughes’s expression was even worse.
"Alright, I’ve watched a good show, and I should leave. Coralie Hughes, my mom invited you to our house for dinner, don’t just stand there, let’s go!"
After Ryder Quinn spoke, he didn’t even greet Stella Monroe and turned to leave.

Coralie Hughes asked in confusion, "Young Master Quinn, aren’t you getting out?"
Ryder Quinn made no attempt to hide his disdain for Coralie Hughes.
He chuckled and said, "Miss Hughes, since no one else is here, I’ll be frank. I’m not done having fun and I don’t want to get married, especially not to soone of your type. So before I bring up the dissolution of our engagent, it’s best if you talk to my mom yourself. Otherwise, when I break it off, people might laugh."
Coralie Hughes’s face flushed instantly.
She clutched her skirt and bravely asked, "I don’t understand... Why don’t you like ? You’ve never said you disliked before..."
Ryder Quinn gripped the steering wheel with one hand and shrugged, "Before today, I thought it didn’t matter who I married. But today, I decided I can’t marry you."
Coralie Hughes’s flush faded, leaving her pale.
"...Why? Is there sothing I did wrong? I can change!"
Ryder Quinn looked at Coralie Hughes with a piercing gaze: "I really don’t want my future wife to be soone who kills."
Coralie Hughes asked in astonishnt, "Are you talking about ? When did I ever..."
"Today you let a dog loose to bite soone, and if one hadn’t been controlled properly, that girl would be dead. You must be aware of that, right?"
Coralie Hughes quickly explained, "I already said, I didn’t let the dog bite her, she let my puppy bite instead."
The last trace of patience disappeared from Ryder Quinn’s eyes.
"Coralie Hughes, don’t take for a fool."
After saying that, he rolled up the car window and drove away, leaving Coralie Hughes standing alone in the night breeze.
