When a junior passes away, and the older generation sends off the younger, the funeral cannot be too grand. Otherwise, it might harm the surviving elders.
Henry Stanton is very aware of this, so there wasn’t even a wreath placed at the front gate, and except for the backyard, the whole manor was no different from usual.
Mio Osborne entered with Principal Payne and began to scrutinize Stanton Manor.
He didn’t see anything related to the funeral, only a whole row of luxury cars parked in the parking area.
Hence, Mio Osborne was even more convinced that Sumr Monroe was lying!
Before reaching the backyard, Mio Osborne couldn’t wait and said to Principal Payne, "Principal, did you see? Does this look like a family where soone has passed away? Sumr is lying! I need you to remove Sumr from my class imdiately!"
Principal Payne’s expression also beca sowhat unpleasant.
Could it be that Sumr really used the lie that "a family mber died" as an excuse to take ti off?
If it’s true... he’d also have to remove Sumr from the preparatory class.
Mio Osborne observed the principal’s expression, noting his cold deanor, and couldn’t help but let a noticeable curve form at the corner of his mouth.

He knew Sumr was deceiving!

The servant, neither too close nor too far, led the way and didn’t hear the conversation between the two.
As they were about to enter the backyard, the servant stopped, bowed, and made a "please" gesture, saying, "Please, both of you, the young lady is in the backyard."
Principal Payne looked down at the white flower in his hand, intending to casually throw it into a nearby trash can when the servant suddenly spoke: "Young Lady!"
Principal Payne paused his action, raising his head together with Mio Osborne.
He saw Sumr Monroe in a white dress, her skirt fluttering, resembling a white butterfly.
Principal Payne stopped disposing of the flower, observing Sumr dressed in white, feeling hesitant.
Could Mio Osborne have been mistaken again? Is there really a funeral at Sumr’s ho?
Seeing Mio Osborne and Principal Payne appear at her ho, Sumr Monroe was slightly surprised.
Would Mio Osborne be so kind as to skip class to mourn at her ho?
That did surprise her.
Sumr approached to greet them, "Principal Payne, Professor Osborne."
Principal Payne didn’t want to speculate further, so to clarify the facts, he directly asked, "Sumr Monroe, is it true that a family mber of yours passed away?"
Sumr nodded, about to speak, when Mio Osborne sneered, "Hah—"
Sumr confusedly tilted her head and asked, "Professor Osborne, why are you laughing?"
Mio Osborne glanced at her, speaking coldly, "Sumr! Are you still going to lie at this point?"
Sumr was even more confused, "What am I lying about?"
"What do you think?" Mio Osborne pointed at her dress, "You knew we were coming, so you deliberately changed into white, pretending there’s a funeral at ho. But don’t you know that paper can’t wrap fire? This kind of inferior excuse, all it takes is a call to your parents to clear up. I just didn’t expect you still won’t tell the truth, Sumr, you’re too disappointing!"
Stunned, Sumr raised her eyes to Mio Osborne, suddenly understanding—
Mio Osborne wasn’t here to mourn; he was here to catch her lie.
Unfortunately, Mio Osborne caught the wrong lie again.
Mio Osborne saw Sumr silent, assuming she felt embarrassed by having her lie uncovered, feeling more pleased.
He couldn’t quite understand why but seeing Sumr angry and embarrassed brought him imnse satisfaction.
