The person walked forward, greeting the sunlight.
Her skin was as white as snow, almost glowing under the sun’s rays.
That face, unblemished by makeup, completely overshadowed Willow Grant’s ticulously painted features. Even words like "beauty that toppled nations" or "stunningly beautiful" seed inadequate when describing her.
It was Sumr Monroe.
Willow Grant and Mio Osborne simultaneously frowned.
But the difference between them was, Willow Grant’s eyes revealed pure disgust, while Mio Osborne’s gaze hinted at an unspeakable complexity.
"Professor." Sumr Monroe politely nodded at Mio Osborne.
Mio Osborne turned his eyes away as if she was invisible and spoke to Willow Grant, "I forgot to tell you, tomorrow, a lecturer from Britton University will be here to give a lecture. Just tomorrow, I’ll be free, so I might not co. Your English teacher ntioned that your spoken language skills are good, so you’ll be the translator and accompany the lecturer around the campus."
"A lecturer from Britton University?" Willow Grant’s eyes lit up instantly, then she nodded repeatedly, promising, "I will make sure to show the lecturer around the school well."
"Okay."
The two chatted, intentionally or not, ignoring Sumr Monroe.
Sumr Monroe, feeling dejected, walked straight into the classroom.
Although Mio Osborne was conversing with Willow Grant, his peripheral vision was constantly tracking Sumr Monroe. Even while talking about the translation task, his voice unconsciously rose.
He didn’t understand why he acted this way, but seeing Sumr Monroe enter the classroom with a grim face brought him unspeakable joy.
The classroom door closed automatically as Sumr Monroe walked in, and Mio Osborne lost the interest to continue speaking with Willow Grant, saying, "You should go in too, and make sure to adjust your state of mind early."
Willow Grant didn’t notice Mio Osborne’s odd behavior and nodded earnestly, saying, "I will, Professor Osborne, so I will head in first."
"Okay."
Right on cue, the bell rang.
This class was advanced mathematics, and Mio Osborne walked in with his lecture notes.
As soon as Mio Osborne entered, the classroom fell silent.
Everyone was quite intimidated by Mio Osborne.
Mio Osborne scanned the classroom once and said, "Let’s start the class, open the book to page 74."
Sumr Monroe opened her textbook, surprised to find that Mio Osborne had already covered more than twenty pages during her one and a half days of absence.
Is this pace comparable to flying? Can the other students keep up?
At that mont, her phone suddenly went "ding dong" with a ssage notification sound.
Mio Osborne’s gaze instantly shot over like a dagger. He coldly said, "So students spend even their spare ti on studying, while others frequently take leaves and fail to listen in class after returning. Don’t bla later when you leave the preparatory class if I didn’t give you an opportunity."
Mio Osborne didn’t na nas, but it was clear he was addressing Sumr Monroe.
Sumr Monroe slightly pursed her lips and set her phone to silent mode.
She originally intended to check where the course had progressed to. When setting it to silent, she saw the ssage content.
"President, ten heart robots have been debugged and are being shipped to Cathaysia."
Without this ssage from her subordinate, she nearly forgot about the matter regarding Charles Chapman.
She quickly replied with an "OK" emoji, then opened her textbook to study seriously.
Mio Osborne’s current course was relatively challenging this term, but for Sumr Monroe, it was still at the level of basic arithtic.
She flipped a few pages, feeling bored, and then opened the university language textbook.
On the podium.
Mio Osborne found his gaze uncontrollably drifting towards Sumr Monroe from ti to ti.
