When Mio Osborne realized he was glancing over at Sumr Monroe from ti to ti, he was suddenly overco by an inexplicable restlessness.
But halfway through the class, the sound of two "reports" echoed.
Mio Osborne turned his head to see two female students entering the classroom with pale faces, as if they had just experienced sothing frightening.
Mio Osborne frowned and asked, "Where did you two go? Why are you only coming back now? You’re half a class late!"
The two girls dropped their heads in fear, not daring to speak. The shorter girl mustered the courage to respond, "We went to the hospital..."
It was only then that Mio Osborne’s expression softened a bit. He advised them, "Please rember to ask for leave next ti," and then continued with the class without giving them a hard ti.
The two girls quickly went to their seats, but before sitting down, they both glanced in Sumr Monroe’s direction.
Sumr Monroe noticed and looked back.
The girls shrunk back at her gaze, hurriedly sat down, and withdrew their eyes.
Sumr Monroe raised an eyebrow slightly; weren’t these the two who said they had concussions?
She shrugged her shoulders and continued reading the university literature.
Other subjects were easy for her, but university literature was the one she struggled with. She had been raised by adoptive parents, so while she hadn’t lost the language, she couldn’t compare to the classmates in her literature class.
With a monthly test coming soon, she couldn’t leave Crestfall University until she found that man, so she had to cram for her university literature course.
Soon, the class ended.
Sumr Monroe was just about to stretch, when Ronan Kingston and Finn Ford ca up to her.
Finn Ford seed particularly enthusiastic.
"Boss, I’ve missed you so much after just one day! Want to co play gas with us tonight? The new season starts today; let’s go dominate the leaderboards!"
Next to him, Ronan Kingston’s expression also seed to be inviting her despite not speaking.
Sumr Monroe smiled and declined, "Not tonight, I’ve made plans to clean my new ho with soone. Let’s go another day."
ntioning "new ho" caused Ronan Kingston’s expression to change slightly. He hesitated before speaking, "Sis... Sumr, if you need help with anything, just let know. I told my old man I needed to focus on my studies, and he gave a supplentary card. Here, take it."
Saying this, he directly handed a black card from his pocket.
Finn Ford quickly pulled out several bank cards and placed them on her desk, saying, "I don’t have as much money as him, but each card has a few million. Take them to spend; if it’s not enough, I’ll ask my family for more."
Though their way of showing concern was straightforward, they were both worried about her.
Sumr Monroe politely refused, "No need, I have money. Once my new ho is set up, I’ll invite you to dinner; I’m not bad at cooking."
Seeing that Sumr Monroe truly seed like she didn’t need money, both took back their cards.
However, just then, Mio Osborne happened to walk by, and upon seeing the bank cards in their hands, his face turned dark, and he spoke coldly, "Sumr Monroe, co to my office for a mont!"
Finn Ford gave her a sympathetic look and quietly returned to his seat.
Ronan Kingston took a deep look at Mio Osborne, thinking with no expression: If his brother were here, Mio Osborne would no longer exist.
Minutes later, Sumr Monroe arrived at Mio Osborne’s office.
She originally thought Mio Osborne would scold her for playing with her phone during class, but instead, she heard Mio Osborne say: "I heard about you being kicked out by your family. This is a student loan application; find so ti to apply."
"...?" Sumr Monroe slowly typed a question mark in her heart.
What was Mio Osborne getting at? Had the sun risen from the west today?
