Isaac suddenly turned his head and looked over at her.
Claire instinctively straightened her back, forced a smile, and greeted Isaac—
"Young Master."
"Hmm." Isaac adjusted his gold-frad glasses and then spoke indifferently, "I don’t want what happened with Charles Chapman to happen with you. I truly admire you. Don’t let down, and don’t provoke those you shouldn’t."
It was a warning, but also an opportunity for Claire.
Claire knew exactly who Isaac ant by "those you shouldn’t provoke." She bit her lip, feeling quite annoyed.
Why was Isaac so protective of that woman?
She truly didn’t understand!
Claire murmured "hmm," unwilling to continue discussing the topic with Isaac, she turned and walked over to Henry.
"The old lady’s vital signs are declining; I’m afraid she won’t last much longer. This is the critical condition notice; please sign here."
"Alright." Henry briskly signed and then sent a ssage to Stella.
"Stella, mom might not make it. Have the butler order a coffin and prepare for the funeral."
On the other end of the phone, Stella was drinking her "fetus-preserving dicine." Upon receiving the text, she suddenly stood up from the sofa.
The old lady couldn’t make it!
At first, she suspected the old lady’s fall seed suspicious, so she checked the surveillance footage.
The footage showed the old lady indeed went downstairs and accidentally fell. It was such a light fall, yet she’s on the brink of death?
After a brief shock, Stella gradually cald down.
Now that Sumr has been kicked out of the Stanton Family, the old lady’s death was actually a good thing for her. After all, the old lady was too domineering. Having dealt with Sumr, she’d probably turn around and find fault with her next.
With the old lady gone, she’d be the sole mistress of the house—an absolutely joyous occasion.
Good news, it’s good news!
Stella replied with a "got it" and then called for the butler.
"The old lady’s passing away; go prepare the funeral."
"Wha-What?" The butler was utterly shocked.
But Stella, not wanting to say more, waved her hand signaling the butler to proceed with the funeral preparations.
This scene was witnessed completely by Leah, who sneaked out of the manor to send a ssage to Sumr.
The ssage was brief, only five words: "The old lady is gone."
It was already past midnight now, and Sumr, already asleep, didn’t imdiately see the ssage.

Inside the ergency room at First Ross Hospital.
The chief surgeon finally gave up the struggle, sighed, and said, "Everyone stop. Close up the patient’s chest. Once that’s done, the anesthetic ti will almost be over. The patient should regain consciousness for a while, allowing the family to say their final goodbyes."
"Understood."
The chief surgeon exhaled, found Claire, and thanked her: "Doctor Woodward, thank you for this opportunity. Although the surgery failed, I’ve learned quite a lot."
Claire smiled with her eyes: "It’s as it should be. I’ll go now, and you all can handle the aftermath."
"Alright, take care."
The junior doctor’s eyes sparkled as he watched Claire leave.
The nurse beside him couldn’t help but remark, "Doctor Woodward is really a good person. Doctor Holloway, generally soone with your seniority is at least two or three years away from performing their own surgery. Thanks to Doctor Woodward, she’s often allowed you to operate, and now you’ve done over twenty surgeries."
Dr. Holloway nodded in agreent.
"Doctor Woodward is indeed a great doctor, quite unlike Doctor Chapman. She’s so capable yet never arrogant. It’s just that my skills are too lacking; of over twenty surgeries, only two succeeded."
"It’s okay, learn slowly, and with enough experience, your success rate will improve."
"Yes, it’s truly an honor to work with Doctor Woodward."
