"Miss Monroe, Professor Osborne and I don’t want to bother you too much. Just buy a few groceries. We can just eat a little to warm up your house."
Claire Woodward smiled understandingly, and Finn Ford’s eyes went wide.
"This beautiful lady..."
"Ahem!" Ronan Kingston coughed, and Finn Ford finally snapped out of it, noticing Claire Woodward standing next to Mio Osborne.
He imdiately changed his tone and asked, "Could this beautiful lady be our teacher’s wife?"
Claire Woodward smiled without speaking, waiting for Mio Osborne to explain, but Mio Osborne didn’t explain anything and just said, "This should be enough groceries, no need to buy more, let’s go."
Sumr Monroe didn’t want to trouble Mio Osborne, so since he said that, she didn’t pretend either, and said to Ronan Kingston, "Let’s go then."
At checkout, Mio Osborne walked in front, pulling out a card from his pocket, "You guys are still students. Let pay."
"No need, Professor Osborne." Sumr Monroe quickly stopped him.
Mio Osborne looked at her and said, "Your student loan won’t co through for another half a month. I want to cover this for you. If you really feel bad, you can pay back after graduation."
Upon hearing this, Claire Woodward coldly chuckled to herself.
She actually considered a girl on student loans a threat before, how ridiculous she had been.
But then, Claire found it odd.
If Sumr Monroe needed a loan for school, how did she afford those ten extrely expensive cardiac pacemaker robots?
Sothing definitely wasn’t right here, but she hadn’t figured out what it was yet.
It couldn’t possibly be that Sumr Monroe is like those hidden bosses on TV, right?
Just then, Ronan Kingston pressed down on Mio Osborne’s card, saying, "Professor Osborne, really no need. My family owns this supermarket. Let’s just go out."
Mio Osborne looked up in surprise, only to see the cashier bowing respectfully, "Goodbye, Young Master Kingston."
"Hmm." Ronan Kingston nodded lightly, and said to Sumr Monroe, "Let’s go."
Mio Osborne’s face flashed with embarrassnt, turning more unpleasant.
Claire Woodward glanced at Mio Osborne’s expression and deliberately said softly, "I didn’t expect that while Miss Monroe needs a student loan, her friend is so wealthy. Young Master Kingston... He’s from the Kingston Family of The Four Great Families of Crestfall, right? Is he pursuing Miss Monroe?"
Mio Osborne’s face turned even more grim.
In a hoarse voice, he said, "They’re just classmates, don’t speculate so much. Also, you don’t have to call her Miss Monroe, she’s no longer anyone special, just an ordinary person."
Claire Woodward imdiately felt certain, Mio Osborne’s feelings for Sumr Monroe were definitely not normal!
She felt sowhat annoyed. The apple she didn’t want to eat, she’d rather let rot than give to soone else, let alone be taken by Sumr Monroe.
But then Claire thought, if Mio Osborne and Sumr Monroe got together, no matter what was odd about Sumr Monroe, she wouldn’t pose a threat between her and Damian Knight.
Claire Woodward’s eyes lit up.
Eliminating a threat is always good, why not go for it?
Claire slightly raised an eyebrow, deliberately provoking Mio Osborne, "Right, I shouldn’t call her Miss Monroe, lest it reminds her of being kicked out by her family. But with Young Master Kingston by her side, she shouldn’t have too hard a ti, you shouldn’t worry too much about her."
