Sumr Monroe felt relieved not having Professor Osborne’s class today and not seeing him, but unexpectedly ran into him at the supermarket.
What bad luck!
Sumr frowned inwardly but had to put on a smile: "Hello, Professor Osborne."
Professor Osborne looked at the smile on Sumr’s face and was startled to find his heartbeat seemingly out of rhythm.
This feeling was not a good on.
Professor Osborne’s brow furrowed even deeper.
Claire Woodward overheard their conversation and unexpectedly asked, "Do you two know each other?"
Professor Osborne shot a surprised glance at Claire Woodward: "She’s my student, do you know Sumr Monroe?"
"Oh, so she’s your student." Claire Woodward didn’t answer the latter question, but said: "Looks like I really have a connection with Miss Monroe."
Sumr Monroe smiled slightly and said: "So you two are together, I won’t disturb you, I’ll go buy vegetables first."
As Claire Woodward was about to nod, Professor Osborne interrupted coldly: "You live alone, why buy so many vegetables?"
—He had noticed Sumr’s shopping cart piled high with vegetables.
Sumr really wanted to ask Professor Osborne if he lived by the sea that he had to ddle in everything, even her grocery shopping.
She pursed her lips slightly: "I’m inviting friends to my new ho for a housewarming al."
Claire had seen the announcent of Sumr being kicked out by the Stanton Family and subtly said: "Congratulations on moving to a new place."
"Thank you."
Sumr nodded and was about to leave.
Yet at this mont, Professor Osborne spoke again: "Since it’s a housewarming, the more people the rrier. Happen to be free, Claire and I will co to your house to help warm the place, it counts as a ho visit."
Sumr’s eyes widened suddenly at these words.
A thought jumped into her mind—never before seen soone so shaless.
Claire was equally shocked.
On the way, Professor Osborne had been calling her "Doctor Woodward", but seeing Sumr, he suddenly called her "Claire".
Moreover, how co they’re free? Weren’t they supposed to return with tomato sauce?
Claire suddenly sensed sothing fishy.
Sumr’s face indeed easily attracted n, but given the professor-student relationship between Professor Osborne and Sumr... wasn’t this sowhat taboo?
Besides, wasn’t Professor Osborne on a date with her? Did he actually like Sumr Monroe?
Was she overthinking it or...
Claire stopped thinking about it and simply nodded: "Yes, we’re free, but Miss Monroe, we won’t be bothering you, will we?"
With the conversation going this far, Sumr couldn’t refuse and reluctantly nodded: "Not at all. What would you like to eat?"
"I’m fine with anything," Claire Woodward appeared easygoing, while Professor Osborne said nothing.
"Then I’ll go buy so more vegetables." Sumr said, striding quickly toward the vegetable section.
She cursed her bad luck, just as Holly Holloway and the others arrived.
Finn Ford spoke up: "Boss, I saw Professor Osborne."
Sumr nodded: "He even suggested coming to my house for dinner, you guys... bear it a bit."
"Damn it! We’re in college, what kind of ho visit is this! I think his aim is at you. Oh no, actually at us who ca in through the back door," Finn Ford said, glancing at Holly: "Holly, there’s no need to be afraid, you’re a good student, Professor Osborne won’t hold you back."
Holly blushed and said: "My na is Holly."
"Hey, it’s just a nickna!"
Just as they were talking, Professor Osborne and Claire Woodward walked over.
